Any devs reading this thread // don’t worry we are full of shit and will buy your next app

Lol. That’s what I was basically thinking. Good until the next great app comes out.

Yep, kind of my point... waste is never a good thing, food, app, anything...
Yes, prices are low and also relative... see how many wearing proudly the "I spent over £1000 on apps" badge.
Just an opinion, no offence meant :)

I’ve spent double that, but it’s over 10(?) years, and when I compare the amount to the hobbies some of my friends have - going to football/rugby matches, playing golf, cycling, motorbikes, gaming, going to festivals etc. it pales in comparison.

Mrs Monzo spends my yearly app budget on a couple of visits to the hairdressers. I let mine go wild, and put the money into silly apps instead.

I still buy apps and probably always will even if I don't need them. I just enjoy having new things to play with. 🤷🏻‍♂️

IOS Music Apps are incredible cheap and many of them very useful!
Compared to Musical hardware any interesting app is a no brainer, at least for me. Sales and reduced iTunes cards makes the Apps even more cheaper. So why not buying and have some fun with them? Even when I find out they don’t fit my needs. No problem for me...

Just spend some money for one fine hardware Synthesizer. Can you imagine how many quality apps you could buy for the money? Perhaps all of the interesting music apps (including IAPs) you will find in the AppStore... 😎

Because IOS Music Apps are so cheap, I don’t care to try out what ever could be interesting for me.
So I don’t think I’ve reached that point. I’m still curious...

    Many greetings to all! 😊

On the other hand, I’m quite happy with the apps I already have. 👍

I've been telling my wife and friends for the last twelve months that I'm "building my instrument." I have a grand design in mind for the iOS music making configuration I want on my iPad. I've done it before with analog and modular hardware, then a phase with laptop apps and Ableton, and now in iOS. My goal is to reach a point where my setup is "finished" and stable and I can spend 95% of my time composing, performing, recording. (The other 5% of my time is maintenance--upgrading, fixing things in my setup, making small improvements, swapping out apps as the tech improves.) In the last two months I've gotten closer, already starting to record some music worth sharing. I'm really excited to fully enter this composing phase because iOS offers ways of making music that simply weren't possible before and I can't wait to explore these new musical realms.

God bless the entire iOS community!

Oh its all the same thing to me. Mo money mo toys! Screw problems.

  • All my apps add up to maybe one good hardware synth - and together they can do so much more!

Well crafted humor is simply how I saw it. I don’t think either post was any seriousness related to the content of your post. It was just a joke I think.

Yes I just bought EG Pulse. I don't buy every app anymore but Pulse seemed to be one I didn't want to miss. I was right, it's great.
