That's dis-heartening!
The drawback, IMO, for Auria, is tha t I can't capture the midi performance. If I want to later change the patch of the synth that I used, or recreate a patch/effect combo for that matter, I have to start over from scratch, so to speak.
With a midi/audio combo like Cubasis (or BM2), I have the midi data saved and can easily go back and regenerate the part w a different patch and/or effect(s). Then I can move the stem into Auria after this, or along the way, as I work. This workflow makes the most sense for me at this point in the IOS app scene.

It is , but unfortunatly true, auria is an superb DAW, but the IAP's are prohibitively expensive, plus its juicy on CPU even on an Air, Dont get me wrong the effects are spectacular, here is a demo of me paying a guitar through Timeless2
And here is one on how to save on CPU Load with an iPad2
Both of these videos are almost a year old now so it us better now
Thanks all. One issue I'm having I'm finding when I play into auria through audiobus, I need to nt only arm the track in auria but also also actually press record. Surely that shouldn't be the case??

Nice to see your face for a change, Doug! Much nicer than when the Hand is starring alone.
cubasis woks great for me ....its a awesome piece of kit.... imo

That's normal, Cubasis and MTDaw are the same.
I only have to arm the track in Cubasis if I'm auditioning.

Oh I see, I misunderstood the problem. There is a setting in the Auria prefs to monitor Audiobus.
