So all the apps, all the time!
@chandroji, if you were yo buy all 29 of those apps you'd spend a small fortune.
But as a regular reader of this forum i must admit... I own 95% of them. It's a good list.
Number One for me is Drambo... and I haven't even started to learn it in a deep way. I just download the patches from PatchStorage.com and use them a lot as a sequencer (using the EchoOpera presets he shares in AUM projects), sometimes as a synth and more often
lately as an FX app (@rs2000's "RAT Distortion" inspired FX is truly Epic).
You can turn Drambo into hours of synth/tech education by watching the available YouTube content with @bcrichards as my "go to" for instruction.
I also get a lot of use from the new Guitar Amps Sims with "GE Labs" offering every module for free. I did buy 2 User Preset slots for $2 on sale but that's it. Amazing AUv3 tool for FX and tone shaping of synths too. All FREE.
For anyone with a long history with synth hardware MiRack is amazing and should be on your iPad.

FRMS and Shockwave definitely get my vote. As Aleyas said, Fundamental is really cool if you like this kind of weirdness, though I still can't get mpe working as it should on a Roli
Saturn 2
Looperator
AddStation
dRambo.
MiRack was released last year.
I think everything else has been covered so far after a cursory
glance at the comments.
I’ve almost got the mix sorted for this collab I’ve been doing with McD and the cats happy.
I’ll be back soon. 😇
p.s Check out Blue Mangoo’s and Jens Guell’s forth coming releases.
They have some very useful processors turning up.
I quite like JAX 3verb.
Personally, Drambo is a behemoth of a synth. But if we're talking about 2020 apps I frequently use,
Koala Fx,
Audiotune by Audioshare, and these apps from Blue Mangoo - Stratosphere Reverb
and Multiband Haas.
I did just get the Virsyn synth "Addstation" because I've been looking for a great additive synth.
It's weird. I'm no longer looking for synths. I think I have enough. Have way too many that I need to master, especially with Synthmaster One, and Factory, and all the Gadget unlocks that I recently did. Yet, I got the additive synth because I needed something different. Drambo allows me to make a synth.
Ah well...
I would like to squeeze my candidate in even though it technically came out in December I think.
Fractal bits - rocket fuel for samplers.
In terms of midi, I really love Arpbud 2, also Ioniarics, I think the latter came out this year rather than last.
My favorites:
Honorable mentions:
Lots of great apps by BLEASS, Eventide, and ToneBoosters
An incredible year for guitars:
Overloud THU
Nembrini PSA1000
GE Labs - Infinite Tone Lab
Bang for buck ... a teensy simple AUV3 reverb called Schroeder that can do extraordinary things.. cheap as chips. Lovely to play with.
When did Black Hole come out? Anything from Eventide or Fabfilter. Year of The Huge Reverb if my wallet’s any guide. Lockdown sounds.
