Glad you've got it sorted! So far just single presets is all I've tried, Im not sure if you can export entire banks, doesn't look promising so far though.

Interesting. How did you manage to export single patches? I can only export whole banks and I learned my way from the Zenology manual ;) It's installed along the plugin.

So, I load a patch that I want to export, then I hit the write button in the Zenology Pro main window. In the manager window I select my user bank and a slot in that bank and hit the write button at the top. When I have all patches to export stored in that user bank I hit the export button underneath the bank list, choose Hardware/ZC1 and export the whole bank:

But I have another problem. I can import the exported bank and I have all the patches inside that I expected, but then only the patches from the imported bank are available. After the SVZ import a function 'Generate Presets From SVZ' appears in the menu, but after using it ZC1 has switched back to the standard bank and the patches from the imported bank haven't been imported.

I'm on Roland Cloud Core in the Ultimate trial and I'm doing the import/export with Zenology Pro in Zenbeats on my Mac.

This is nearly my exact workflow. Except the 'Generate Presets From SVZ' part. I believe you are exporting and importing a single preset and not a bank. I believe each preset export is a separate .svz. I could very easily be wrong as I'm not well versed at all in this. However my next step after importing into ZC1 is hitting the plug symbol to the left and 'save preset as' After I do that the preset is there forever!

Thanks! The Mario Kit is also in Zen format FYI. Hope you enjoy! Just the sounds, no patterns, I never thought to add them, maybe I should?

Yeah, patterns would be nice.. and EG Pulse can alter them with probability, adjustable lanes, etc..
    Nice work..

    Thanks @ipadbeatmaking, very helpful.
I thought ZC-1 was the new super synth but it actually looks more like a ROMpler with many classic Roland sounds?

It's not rompler, inside is true Zenology synth engine, you just don't have access to all parameters, just to fraction ..

I'm curious if it is possible to upload custom patches into Zenbeats ZC-1 .. Because in case you have Roland Cloud subscription, you can make sounds on your desktop inside full Zenology App and then upload those sounds into MC707 or MC101 - so in theory, it should be possible also into ZC-1 because it's 1:1 same synth engine like in all ZenCore based sw/hw synths ...

At the end, desktop verzion of Zenbeats contains full zenology plugin, so there is really no reason why iOS version should be just rompler. It's same synth engine inside.

Btw. correct me if i'm wrong, but i think same subset of parameters which are editable in ZC-1 inside ZenBeats, is editable in MC101, isn't it ? It makes sense, because desktop version of ZB is, compared to iOS version, very similiar product downsizing like MC707 is when compared to MC101.

I think you’re right on all counts here @dendy it is in fact not a romper. And it is possible to Zenology Pro to create custom patches and import them in. It’s pretty powerful.

No imagine if ZenBeats got the new random feature from MC-101/707 that creates 'random presets' in a chosen category!
This would at least for a while lessen the need for full editing capabilities...

@MatthewAtZenbeats What about it, a 'random patch generation' for ZC1 while we patiently wait for further editing capabilities?

    Just noticed....
Too many Matt* floating around in the forum :D

  • Is it possible to have sounds from the sound module Roland Super JD-990 in Zenbeats?

  • I found this official Roland Cloud video about import and export, maybe it will help...

I had to buy a $4.99 unlock in order to allow svz import on my Android phone. Have not tried elsewhere. Now I can import banks but after that nothing shows up under USER in the patch browser.

Hi, I'm Glenn. Nice to meet y'all!
