Magellan 2? I'm already drowning in the archetypal subtractive synth department. I really don't need this, I'm not even particularly curious about it. Is there something special here that I'd be missing out on, I know it's pennies, but the time I could spend on other stuff.

In that price? get both of course! Today I completed my Yonac collection too. Before I had Magellan, Magellan Synthesizer 2, ToneStack with all IAP, Kauldron, (+ free: ToneStack Go and Steel Guitar). Today to this club joined: Kaspar, Roxyn Guitar Synthesizer, Galileo Organ and Galileo Organ2. I am not interested with miniSynth2 only.

Just grab them all or whatever you don’t have. I’m not the biggest Yonac fan, but they are all good apps. at this price Just do it!
I get what you are saying @SpartanClownTide so many great apps but I personally try to make sure that I use what I buy or even get for free. I learned my lesson from desktop computers. Plugin folder with over 100 plugs and i only use the same 5-6.
I did purchase for the price but really looked to see if this wouldn’t be redundant for me too many choices kills my creativity and ability to complete anything.

Roxsyn can be used in AU FX slot (ofc, its what its for) No other of my Yonac apps shows up as AUFX maybe IAP needed? dunno, dont care for 3$ I got some fine stuff
The newer synths are, Magellan 2 etc but they’re instruments, I don’t think they can be used as fx though...

Magellan 1used to work on fx slot, back in the days there were not many fx apps ,very useful .
You can always delete it later
