Funny how this app has flown under the radar after such a successful introduction. It's great, and I'm willing to get the IAP — but what exactly is different? It seems to be a pretty complete app.

An awesome plate reverb is unlocked by the IAP and a few other features though I don't recall which.

Ah, lazy of me. @eylvy did a video, posted above, that shows exactly what the differences are. It allows sync to DAW, the ability to adjust the low pass filter of the delay and, among other things, that extra level of plate reverb.

Yeah the main thing is getting access to the big plate reverb setting as well as another dialogue box of controls which I also forget now do what exactly, but which can have a pretty radical impact on the sound. Despite how good it is I haven't used it in a while. The big plate reverb sounds really incredible, if you like big reverb it is worth every penny. Not to mention a nice way to thank the dev for being kind enough to make the free version so full featured.

  • lunar lander is an incredible app, by far the best plate … and as a whole delay/reverb, a very unique one … worth it, really

Finally going into Beta testing. After the release, we will focus on coding it for iOS.
Each module in Lunar Lander has a P42 Climax saturation engine!

    Interesting.

  • Wow, looks great!

I still can’t restore my purchase on the original btw, any chance of a fix for that?

  • Damn, thats looks sexy! And I’m sure it sound sexy too. it’s good to see PM back to iOS platform

  • Best of luck to them, but I’m never going to buy another app from this developer.

  • Well lunar lander works good for me. I waited to buy the 3rd plate. Then the app disappeared so I can’t complain. But I could understand other people thou

  • Lunar Lander still won’t load for me. Pulsar Modular took my money and abandoned a broken app. I’ll never give them a cent or trust them or anyone involved. Before parting with your money, do yourself a quick favour and search on here for the threads about Lunar Lander and Pulsar Modular that had to be closed. The money is long gone and they’ve still done nothing to fix it. Apple shouldn’t let them back on iOS.

  • It works but produces a Bad Signal error in AUM.

  • Opens in AUM but not standalone, it crashes. Can you access Plate 3, I paid for the IAP for Plate 3 but it’s greyed out in AUM and you can’t Restore purchases. Been the same for about two years. Hence wouldn’t touch Pulsar Modular ever again.

I really like what Pulsar Modular are doing with their desktop releases. They explained why their iOS release didn’t go well the first time and committed to being back to make it right and I’m good with that. It will be great to have them back on iOS.

  • I don’t think it was that the ‘iOS release didn’t go well’, it went very well. What I recall is:

    • Released app
    • Got people to buy an IAP for extra functionality
    • App broke - the paid for extra functionality didn’t work
    • Blamed coder/contractor that they hired for iOS
    • Pulled the app from the AppStore
    • Kept all the money but didn’t do anything to resolve the issue
    • Two years have passed and they’ve still not fixed it!

In terms of ‘committed to being back to make it right’, after two years of nothing! Are you saying what they’ve briefly popped back in here to advertise (P930 Lunar Lander) is finally a free update to fixed the OG Lunar Lander? Also bear in mind, they are only at beta for desktop and said they will only start coding for iOS after the release for desktop! So this could be months if not another year away.

I’m saying I hope iOS is viable for Pulsar Modular next time around. They make great plugins.

A great plugin will work... and continues to work because the developer supports it. The product is only as good as the company behind it.

I will not take any values advice from you. Feel free to put me on ignore.

  • Burned and neglected by Pulsar Modular the last time around so no way I’d buy anything else from them. If they “gift” the new app to previous paying customers, then maybe I’d feel a little warmer toward them. Otherwise, pass.

  • I feel like we are have this same discussion every 6 months or so.

  • Pulsar Modular and Lunar Lander reminds me of two wise sayings.

‘Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me’ and ‘A fool and his money are soon parted’.

Will keep warning people about Pulsar Modular until they fix the app they took our money for.

    Oh, never mind.

No one knew the developer would abandon their app in advance. I believe his use of the saying refers to a person giving the developer more money, AFTER the fact.

Just trying to inject levity into a needlessly toxic thread. Clearly they did not abandon their app, but some people were really personally wounded by this f*#^up to the point that they need to inject their rage multiple times in any thread that mentions Lunar Lander. Which, by the way, works great for me and always has.

The obsession reminds me of this:

I guess I'd like to see what is the definition of a "toxic thread" because that's not what this looks like. It's a multi-year conversation.

  • Lunar Lander still unlocked and fully functioning here with no issues
    M1 11” Pro, latest iOS

Same here, just tried it in AUM and it works fine, including the 3rd plate (IAP features)

    Oh, mine is a 12.9” M1 1TB w/lastest OS

  • Ecstatic for those of you for whom the app is fully functioning.

However, for the rest of us it changes nothing. The IAP is still broken. I’ve just tried a fresh install and the Restore and Purchase options aren’t even available.

It’s still broken. They still took our money and they still haven’t fixed it.
