I thought the wobble bass brostep thing was dead. Wishful thinking I suppose

Haha, I feel this. One thing I do like about them though is if you slow things down, you can get some really funky stuff out of them without a nosebleed

Forgive me, all I could think of lol...

This will help entertain me up until its release...

  • I’m so glad this day has finally arrived! I’ve been beta testing this app and Jakob has wanted us all to be very tight lipped about it - not give away any secrets. It’s frustrating cos I’ve already used it in some tracks. It is definitely going to be one of the most loved iOS music apps.

  • Where is it?

    Where is it?

    Today is release day.

  • We are all waiting @jakoB_haQ ✌️✌️✌️

  • I think it would be smart to release it before the live-stream so people can ask question :D

  • Is that stream scheduled for a certain time already?

  • it is out! anyone got it yet?

    Only iPadOS?

I can’t find it in the iOS AppStore.

monophonic ??? Biggest disappointment for long time... Wanted to grab again my iPad to check this - demo sounds great (since i purchased digitone/digitakt i didn't turned on ipad :-)), but - i really don't need another monophonic synth, i'll pass on this...

Really don't understant sense of monophonic-only APP synth... even if it would eat lot of CPU.... wasted opportunity to make something comparable to Serum

  • Thanks.
    iPadOS only.
    Saved me 10 bucks.

  • Question is, how does it stack up to Drambo's WaveTable oscillator :D

  • @ka010 Any plans for Universal?

  • might be a little too aggressive for my ambient style but it is a cool synth with two of ios best. i’ll grab it in a few weeks tho when i got some extra change

  • Ok, think I'm gonna have to buy this one only because it says "Attaq" in the ADSR... :)

Jakob's intro video goes into a lot of depth as you'd expect from him. There's been a lot of thought put into this - it's a wubwub bass synth at heart, but it could definitely be mangled to suit other music types - there's sections around 22 & 24 minutes that shows it doing something like an industrial pad or simple drone. Then things get weird (in an interesting way) around 27 minutes. The wobulator section is pretty cool for sequencing modulation - a 4 step lfo sequencer with a shed load of options. It's also got MPE - I kinda like it but will hold off purchase till I got more funds...though it's on a 50% promo now so I probably shouldn't hang around...👍

  • Bought it and had a very very quick play. Sounds cool –I am not into wubwubwub, and this can definitely do much more than wubbing.

  • I was hoping for a built in sequencer. Ah well - never mind. It sounds good.

  • i hope to hear more, chill demos

It’s specifically a bass synth rather than a general purpose synth so being monophonic makes sense in this case.

  • Many of Kai‘s plug-ins start out being iPad only and get universal in a point release. He has a good track record in this regard ;) so, let’s see

I love the teaser and the track in the video !

  • watch this:

  • It’s a great synth, definitely useful for things way beyond wubbing

    Oops

  • Agonizer Numerical Audio Mono MPE Bass Synth SuperQuick Walkthrough (3 FREE COPIES TO GIVE AWAY!) for IOS

This is a VERY brief overview of Agonizer - a monophonic ‘MPE’ bass synth for iOS - which has two main goals - a) to give you a quick overview of the interface and how to dial in sounds b) how to set up modulation to make the sounds more expressive when playing as MPE. If you want a run through a whole bunch of presets etc, other videos will be more suitable. I have 3 copies of the app to give away to subscribers to the channel watching in the first 2 days of release. To have a chance to win, follow the instructions in the pinned comment at the top of the YouTube comments section. If you find this video useful, please do give it a like and subscribe for more. Thanks folks!

  • How's the CPU on this?
