    ••• Sound Engines •••
8 individual 3-layer synth engines to design, shape and sculpt powerful drum hits.
Depth modulation area with envelopes, LFOs, and a complex modulation matrix to change most parameters using a wide array of sources.
Finest noise table conversion technology, followed by a filter, distortion and side chain compressor.

    ••• Sequencer •••
Enjoy smart randomization to create patterns that feel natural and organic and add some feeling to the pattern with swing and 'humanization'.
Move various parameters along to match the notes, such as velocity, pitch, decay, probability, roll and offset.

    ••• Kit Page •••
Bring all the individual sounds together in one place, select new sound presets or even randomly generate new sounds based on various sound type profiles and give your kit some character, punch and an analogue feel!

    ••• Mix •••
With Volume, Mute, Solo, Pan as well as two reverb return channels you can send any of your sounds to at any time and also assign the mixer parameters as modulation destinations.
The Room reverb gives you a nice familiar space, letting you glue together multiple drum sounds, while the Hall reverb gives a massive space you can use either as a utility, or as way to fire your sounds off into the cosmos!

    ••• Mapping •••
Create up to 16 individual patterns (from scratch, or using the easy copy/paste function), and chain these together into a sequence, up to 16 patterns long. Use your MIDI keyboard or controller to send values that quickly and seamlessly switch between patterns on the fly.
Quickly remove and add the individual hits, trigger rolls of different speeds, or even have them as pitch modifiers.

    ••• Auto- and Manual Remixing/Fills •••
Mash up your patterns with one simple parameter and produce all sorts of automatic and random edits to your sound.
Add creative fills and variations to your loop to keep it constantly moving with fresh ideas - great for jamming or to prevent audio stagnation.

    ••• Wavetable/Resynth Import & Sampler •••
Import your own audiofiles to create Wavetables. Resynthesize Hihats, Snares, even Chords with the Resynth import feature or wwitch to Sampler mode to play back samples the ordinary way.

  • OK, this will be a must have purchase!

  • Thanks for doing these!!!!!!!!! You are a great asset to our community!!!!!!!

  • Yep - I'm a convert in spite of what I said a few weeks ago...cheers for the tutorial Gav, but once again my bank account hates you (assuming I don't get lucky in the draw...😁)

  • @onerez thanks man!
@enkaytee you know I don't currently use a lot of drums but this one is hard to resist, sounds incredible and brilliant functionality and interface.

  • You know its a free trial with limits right?! ITs a must try and then your gonna be like I need midi or auv3 and then it's must get!
Gavisnksi is making a world record with amount of work and lack of sleep so hails to him!

  • I was just hella glad this came out at a decent hour of day - I'm well ahead of the Berlin timezone, was glad it released early evening my time!

  • Now I want a Korg nanoKontrol: DC + nK + the MPC overlay on the Sensel Morph = live jamming BEAST.

  • I have all three of those! You're right that would be a killer combo @celtic_elk

  • I am really liking your channel. You are thourough and must be putting in a lot of work to put out videos on such a regular basis. I also appreciate when you add the comments on obvious feature improvements.

I didn’t think I needed another way to make drum sounds and sequences, but this app is beautiful and hits almost every functional area I can think of.

  • Thanks so much @Skyvalleystudio it's a phenomenal amount of work to be honest, but it's mostly enjoyable, and I know a lot of people enjoy and appreciate it 👍

  • Great walkthrough as always, I will have to re-watch some parts as it's so much to take in at once - it seems like a lot of drum machine for the price (even though it's high by ios standards)

  • Great vid, thanks

  • Most of us here @krupa buy huge numbers of apps and then use regularly a tiny majority, get this and forget buying another drum machine for a long time!

  • In work atm, can’t download yet.
How much is the IAP? Standard SB £17.99 ?

Me too, I can definitely see this one being a fixture in my rota from now on, it’s hard to understand how it’s so much cheaper on iOS than desktop though, I tried the demo there and could see the potential but even with a touchscreen PC it wasn’t half the experience...

  • Nice video/review but as I never win at raffles I won't even bother entering :)

Some may see this as a 'game-changer' for me a true iOS/iPadOS game-changer will be a DAW that has proper AUv3 automation and editing, clip-launching, slice g & dicing and all the other goodies included. Say something like Logic or Live for iPad.. Now that would seriously make me reconsider getting a faster iPad but a 'drum synth' nope, won't happen!

    Cheers!

Yup.. have to agree.. if you’re only going to get one drum app, make it this one.. the potential of this one is HUGE!
Superb run-through Gav! 👍 You left no stone unturned..

  • Appreciate the video. Thanks man

@Gavinski I’m having trouble changing the root key in the piano section in the bottom. I watched your mapping tutorial and you didn’t talk much about changing the root key of tracks 2-8. I can move track 1 (kick) to a different root by sliding the square in between the key range because it defaults with it half way between the key range. However, on 2-8 if I slide the block I change the key range and root...Trying to get an 808 with pitch below and above. tried many different gestures and can’t seem to figure it out.

Even read the manual and it didn’t really emphasize on this topic.

    Thanks! In advance.

  • Could anyone confirm that midi mapping is not saved when switching to another preset or is it me?

Turn on "CC Snap Isolate" and "Mapping Snap Isolate" on the Settings page to keep your settings the same between presets.

    Excellent! Thanks !

  • Great run-through, and thank you for it =^_^= Looks and sounds like a great synth to play with! Some very nice aspects to play with, and sequencing is quite enjoyable. Love the adjustments that can be made to direction and speed

Not in front of my ipad! If its not in the manual, and I didn't mention it in the vid, best thing might be to email Sugar Bytes!

According to the manual, only the zone for track 1 is "bipolar" (Mute Action and Mapping, p.35).
