Well, it seems like the person who created the thread was feeling the need to apologize about something.
If that is the case, it is a bit ridiculous in my own personal opinion.
🙃
True... that makes me uneasy
Regarding LK and Atom, you could try to fit both in your workflow, get the best of each of them
Midi apps are the only type I don't uninstall, ever (I only offloaded midisequencer because quantum is it's upgraded version).
I don't see why we can't compare apps when its done with respect. Lk and atom2 are doing comparable stuff? So let's compare them!
This will help people to carefully weigh up the difference between the two before buying both anyway 😁
How can you compare an app that is not available with one that is?
Just asking...
Maybe we can get an answer from the beta testers...
Beta testers can't possibly be impartial.
I suspect that for many both apps will be useful for different contexts. I don't have Atom 2, but Atom 1's piano roll (other than the occasional glitch trying to change loop end point) is great and I find it's tools a bit easier to use than the LK Matrix. For clip launching, LK is set up nicely out of the box.
I imagine I'll end up using both depending on what I am planning to do. It wouldn't surprise me if I end up using Atom to construct bits that I later use in LK.
There is a lot of info about the one not yet available, with demo videos, developer comments, and beta tester teases.
I had to find out about LK on my own though. There is a mega thread about it, but it was just an Abelton controller before I think. Anyway, I missed the memo on this app, but discovered this past week that it is really awesome. I think it was @white naming it his favorite app of 2020 that made me look into it again, and it is now full midi and AUv3.
So even though LK is available and free to try, it doesn’t hurt to give it some positive promotion. I already have Atom, and getting Atom2 for free when it finally releases, but for now I thought I was stuck waiting for it.
It turns out that there is already an app that can do a lot of the things I was waiting for.

You could through Xequence 2 into this discussion as well.
Wow. Dam I’m so ready for this.
I had that one before I bought Atom and if it been AU I probably wouldn't (i.e bought Atom). I really like Xequense2, and it's developer who is always willing to answer questions. But I was thinking more AU when I asked my initial question.
Gotcha. Right on.
So Grooverider gr16 offers pattern chaining’ and I wonder which one of the two’s ( Lk and Atom2) are having something similar/song mode.
Gr-16s song mode is only available in standalone mode…and you cannot use auv3’s. I really like though, the song mode.
So what about song mode for Lk and Atom2?
LK has follow actions that you can use to sequence clips. With Atom, you can use a "master Atom" that triggers clips of other Atom instances. (You could do a similar thing with LK.)
Dank’ Espg! I’ll give it a try…see which one offers extra features ( like, out of 4 bars per pattern/clip start with the second bar) or edit inside the follow actions
Helium is coming along nicely also.. Tho I have not dove into its song mode much..
