Sweet jam!
There are so much good stuff in this thread. Awesome contributions.
Here are a screen session that got far too long. I wanted to demonstrate the dark ambient glitchy features of Soniface but got lost in time Hopefully you can get something out of it or jump to the last minute after the first minute or two which are just an edited bass drum(!?) and a sample. Sounds a lot for 'just' that ... which was what made me want to share.
Thanks!
@Pxlhg I've never seen that before, it looks so alien to me.
I made this today, this time I made everything today:
Here is my first Gatelab test using Live radio
Woah can you explain a little what is that? sounds great @Toastedghost
This part capture might help
2 radio station streams are radomly selected, their outputs are fed into Beatcutter, then into Turnado, Gatelab then finally recorded into 1 of 3 Enso slots and recorded. I can live record the results then play around with the mix. Complimented finally by Ting and Hammerhead powered by Polybeats.
Hope that makes any sense.
I really should try Soniface, I use Mutant but Soniface seems super complicated
I was thinking I could record something of a tutorial but after a few hours of just getting mixed up in the sounds I realize it's going to take to much time to get something useful for you. I can only say you MUST give it a few days because it's really right up your alley and Mutant is nothing in comparison (I find it pretty boring to be honest - because of the few options). I just realized you can play Soniface at 1(one)BPM and still have a sample imported playing at it's original speed.
Sure, it is kind of complicated or maybe just weird, and sometimes, very frustrating - a bit like BeatCutter was at first. When I started with SoniFace I recorded 1 minute snippets and took those to BeatCutter - now I'm about to reverse that process and take BC snippets into SF, well it's an idea anyway.
If I take some time and do a proper tutorial, I'll make sure to let you know.
Having fun with 5 samples in Koala/AUM
Great stuff @Lorichs !!! You got it.. don’t overthink it just enjoy Jamming. Keep it going !
Thanks @Thepixelproducers
Here is kind of a special jam.
My main instrument is clawhammer banjo and this weekend I went to an old-time music gathering. Friday night me and some of the guys got super super drunk and silly so we started sampling with Koala sampler.
Now i’m back home and I just did some jamming with the samples we made. No further samples or processing has been added since that crazy night.
Great!
This sounds awesome!
Here I use a couple pads as midi triggers for external FX on AUM
Sounds great again! Never thought of using the pads within GR16 to trigger external stuff.. I do like keeping things ‘within’ GR, nicer workflow in my opinion. Thanks for sharing..
You can also use the knobs as midi controller, but yes, I much prefer to have everything inside GR-16, although it has many limitations.
A generative "jam"
This time I had to capture the screen on video, don't ban me:
This is the AUM session:
No ban at all. I’m guilty of doing the same thing. As long as i can see the screen i’m cool. I enjoy to see what else is going on 😊.
You got some really nice jamling going on 👍🏼
Inspired on @Toastedghost I messed around with glitching the Radio unit.
And I really abused TB Reelbus on this mix to make it extra gritty.
Totally wicked dance track damn glad I inspired you to make this one. Time to take some meds, kick my arthritus down the stairs and hit the floor!
First time in a while, on a plane, tired and a bit sad leaving Greece behind to return to the dUK, messing with koala and vocal samples from AudioModern, lots of other fx and stuff you can see in AUM channels, might be a bit of a loud start, sorry!
Thanks!! ♥
I wanted to keep listening
Cheers @cokomairena , it’s definitely a candidate for me to consider the advice in this thread on, as well as structure the vocal more…

Love that this thread gets new life every now and then - it is great and inspiring to watch and listening to you all. Got to do something without spending a fu**ing week on video/s no one watches.
Nice thread! I too (as almost everyone) fight against the one loop syndrome xD
I challenge myself to make a two part jam for my next submission to this thread!
Nice one, I too need to push myself still, time time time
I tried yesterday and failed to make a B part so no jam for today, I wonder if forcing myself to make music is the way to go xD
I find that sometimes i make the greatest progress after a considerable break. Sometimes the brain just need to rest to process what it has learned. At least that is the case with “oldfashion” instruments.
