As good as any
silly human race
Yours is no disgrace
I've seen all good people come my way, so satisfied I'm on my way.
Yeah
Sorry for derailing, but does anyone know when NanoStudio2 will get audio traaaaaaaaaaxxxx???????
Can we get a Random button that just pulls up comments from the database?
No context just the comments in a time warped thread of chaos.
If we had that more people would appreciate what aging is like.
In conclusion, I vote for:
Animoog on a Palmpilot.
Does anyone else go through phases where orbital mechanics seems really fascinating?
I call SUPREME LORD MASTER!
You are now Cadet Wim. Lololololol
I'll join ya.
I don't like the thought of you busted down to cadet on ya own.
Hum it, I'll sing it.
I don't rap.
Don’t understand what the benefit would be.
@Gavinski @Gavinski @Gavinski - you sly slinky wise old fox. Licking your paws there as cool as you like, eyes glinting as you prepare to relax into the last embers of the day doing your thing ... just across the water too! These are very astute observations - if only I had a free app to give away you would surely have won it!
It was of course intended to stir some reaction, discussion and opinion as you ascertained - I am assuming fairly quickly - however the sentiment remains the same. If I had just stormed in with ‘why don’t you put up or shut up?’ then that might have lent itself to something more of a hostile reception - maybe that would be a better idea for a poll? - keep it a bit more straightforward and all.
I did of course have a sense that there might also be a few hothead turkey gobblers lurking around in readiness to nibble at any old bait tossed around. Sometimes for some people any opportunity to spout forth more vitriol and agitate whilst losing a few feathers is one which is too tempting to pass up - in some ways that’s what it’s all about I suppose. But that was a chance I was prepared to take 😯
Anyway the phrase ‘why don’t you put up or shut up?’ seems to have stood the test of time... maybe centralising the discussion around this sort of theme would be more productive.
It’s not a big deal really at the end of the day. No need to get hot under the collar - it’s just a discussion after all.
Apologies in advance if this causes offence.. 😃
@robosardine
It was click bait if ever I saw a heading on here.
I quite like click bait as it makes me think about my response.
I personally am not offended and sometimes
I am quite the lurker and then I get all chatty.
It was a good question to ask overall.
Thanks for the food for thought. 😁
No need to apologise.
So after this I'm at cadet level again with Wim saying that, where is he???
Sorry, didn’t read the whole thread but this is the basic idea behind Discourse forum software. As you do stuff, you get increased permissions. Actually works quite well and doesn’t lead to anything like a “police state”.
Indeed 😂
I was going to give my opinion but then I voted and all was well.
People are resilient and I certainly don't think anyone is going to kill themselves because of handbags on an app forum.
Personally I think @wim is getting a bit close to the edge with his comments
Mission Accomplished.
[edit .... oh wait! I'm a bit slow slow on the uptake today. 😂😂😂😂😂]
Ultimately I’d have to say no, but there are definitely pros and cons. If there was anything at all maybe something really simple, like some type of certified Twitter type thing, with a user badge. Where Only most knowledgeable forum members, biggest contributors, those who continually help others, and do so for a long period of time are able to get it. I guess @Michael would be in charge of that, but that also creates an issue of more work for people. where these certified forum members might get bombarded with messages and questions. Where the forum now is more open to everybody, everyone helps when and where they can. yes some more then others, some longer than others, but there is no demand or strain on any members to help someone out. I think as it stands, there is a great openness and welcoming feel that let’s members at any level ask questions, help others out, but without anyone feeling obligated to do so. I don’t know maybe I’m rambling.
I thought this was a joke.
An absolutely terrible idea. Division only produces bad results.
All we have to do is make forum membership a "subscription" and we'd see a huge difference. I'd subscribe if the system used rebates where we are compensated by the word.
Too may people leave short messages with little context and they should pay for the privilege of just "phoning it in".
or we could have editors that send back comments for extra clarity before publishing.
Right now it's an anarchy of assholes. That's a very popular model on the internet.
It's not a great idea, but suggesting it has created an opportunity for nearly everyone to agree on something, so kudos for that
Sorry, but can you clarify these comments?
Gonads and strife
Only if it’s a tiered system based on how many apps you own
And not how many songs you finished /s
I want to be a diamond level member
Pah..i spit on diamond level members......errmm , I mean I have no time for people of a certain level because I am almost certainly on a higher level.
My first comment sounded a bit pornhub , so, I retract that completely... although if your interested I'm usually on about ten thirty.
Just stirring up the outhouse my friend. Slow news day. I am rarely serious but without
context I'm sure it's hard to tell.
