Not in Spain. I'll wait patiently.
Nice spot... that's a great deal, considering the rrps Amazon are showing are those that Novation have stated for their own Black Friday deal.
I already own both the X and the Pro otherwise I'd be jumping on this.

AMAZON UK...
NOVATION UK...
How come it says £208 in the first pic and the £249 in the second?
You get extra discount for Prime or something?
How different is the velocity/aftertouch sensitivity of the Launchpad X and Launchpad Pro pads?
Launchpad Pro also now works with LogicPro 10.6 update
I’ve read the pads are better than the X, but maybe only by a small margin?
I’m buying one fo sho, just looking for the best price.
Nope, that first pic is Amazon, the 2nd is the Novation/Focusrite site.
I'd say the pads on the X are a fraction 'taller' than the Pro.
I've not noticed any real difference between the two in terms of aftertouch or velocity but I've never actually done a side by side comparison. This seems like a good excuse though and I've just set that up. I'll let you know how it goes.
Still shows $450 CAD for me on Amazon.ca
Hope we actually get the same sale here too.
Ok, first thing I notice is... yes, the Pro pads are more sensitive. Very very light touches will almost always still trigger a note on the Pro, but mostly not on the X. These comparisons are observed on each of the 3 Velocity settings of Low, Med, High.
I would suggest that the X being that fractional size taller may be in play here.
The difference in Aftertouch seems to be slightly less noticeable but I guess this is because it's more expressional and you'll adapt your pressure to what you're hearing in the moment. However, in line with the velocity observation, it does seem that at the higher threshold the X might take just a little more to trigger the aftertouch, but is perhaps better suited in this case. The AT on Pro does trigger quite quickly at that higher threshold, but never frustratingly so.
Interesting to do this though. Happy with both but I do love the extra features of the Pro.
Did you buy the X first or did you get them both for different jobs?
I think I’m just going to order one for the UK Amazon and get it shipped to Canada, still comes out a lot cheaper, will wait a bit longer and see if the price drops first here
Do they pack it better if it's going overseas?
Yeah I got the X when it first came out and they released the pro a few months later.
I generally reach for the Pro first these days, but I’ll be keeping the X too. I’m planning to try out some bigger setups and having the X as my Custom layout & Pro as the sequencer will be handy.
Can I use the Launchpad pro to play my digitone without any computer or anything else?
I am still searching for a usecase and wonder how useful it could be for iOS/PadOS only?!? Any the digitone.
The Launchkey is still too huge for my little music corner I have atm. Thanks for insights.
FYI got the pro a month ago and I love it. Love the sequencer (which now can record unquantized) and I play it like a Linnstrument. The keyboard is very expressive and plays non MPE synths beautifully. You can design custom controls, etc. And LK and apparently Atom 2 are integrating. This is nuts.
The X is on black Friday sale in Germany, too. Reduced by 37%.

So bottom line, you are using it in an iOS only context and it’s useful - making that decision even harder
Slightly tangential question: has anyone ever used one of these to trigger macros on a BlackMagic ATEM?
(Obv only need answer if you know what one is)
No, but one can set up custom controls. Is ATEM controllable?
BTW, I’m doing live switching and streaming completely on an iPad Pro with 6 iPhone SE 2020s etc etc. Software is by Teradek. I’m using the Zoom Live Trak 8 to do some crazy stuff.
(For others not familiar with video, he is sorta talking ProTools, I am talking Auria)
Off topic, Launchpads are great for finger drumming too. For sticks, I’ve got 2 Bop Pads for a total of 8 triggers — mounted on two cymbal extensions mounted on a microphone stand. The portability is great.
For people who want a iOS central controller like a PUSH, the LaunchPad Pro is it. I am completely happy — including build quality
(I went to college in 1988 with a full PC based MIDI recording studio using an MT-32 sound module — so I’ve been playing with stuff like this for a minute. My current iOS setup is psychotic)
Yes, you can connect these to each other via midi or USB & CCK. What is even better is that you can set up Custom MIDI widgets to control Parameters of the Digitone. You would obviously need to set these up with a PC via the Components site first, but after that it’s plug n’ play!
@audiobussy , @SpookyZoo would you mind talking a bit more about how you use the Launchpad in iOS?. I have no idea.
How useful is it for daw control (Zenbeats ) ?. I’m guessing it’d be more straightforward with AUM.
What about the sequencer?. I didn’t know these things had one. Do you record the midi output to the iOS app?.
Transport control looks useful,
Thanks!
Interesting. Are you using Filmic Pro’s clean HDMI output on the iPhones? I’m using an iPhone / iPad into an HDMI input of the ATEM. Oh wait, found a reference to controlling the ATEM with MIDI using a launchpad. This needs further investigation in that direction then:
https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=101983
Anyone made a sysEx streamByter/mozaic script to run a new launchpad in session mode / mixer yet?
...i.e. for an app or DAW i.e. AUM or Audiobus or Drambo?
Thank you @SpookyZoo sounds good. I am really close to pull that trigger but I would
Also love to hear from experience what @tahiche requested some more „how to use Launchpad in iOS“
@tahiche and @david_2017, you have noticed that LK and the upcoming Atom 2 have direct support for Launchpads on iOS? For instance for launching clips.
Besides, the Launchpad polyphonic aftertouch has always looked like a really good Animoog controller in videos. See for instance the one where Gaz Williams compares X to Pro.
@SpookyZoo, have you used the LK app? It is said to have support for Launchpad X. I suppose that would mean the same functionality also works with Launchpad Pro, but maybe not? I'm trying to figure out whether to go for X or Pro.
Edit: here is that Gaz video. It wasn't quite X vs Pro, but watch Animoog from 12:20.
Hey guys, I’m away for 3 busy days but will certainly give the X a run out with LK when I’m back.
LK doesn’t yet support the Pro, just the X. @sinosoidal can maybe comment if it’s in the backlog.
Atom 2 apparently supports the Pro, and the Pro is a lot more controller, so hopefully support is coming to LK.
