Only issue with launchpad for me is it’s limited to 6x8 pads. If it had more you could use it to play a whole set.

    Does this have more pads?

See what you think of this

Looks like the Sequencer is worth exploring. The 6X8 pads may not be a 'limitation' after all. It is more than enough for me..

Just not for my ‘live set’ dream. I’ve asked @AmpifyxNovation if there’s a chance of adding more rows or columns of pads. The hardware launchpad has up/down left/right scrolling buttons after all.

You can activate the Multiple Mode which allows you to play more than one pad per column at the same time. So you can run all 64 pads together. Info from Mixvibes: The new update 6.1 will include an 8x6 grid for phones.
And @RajahP has a good point: You have a hell of a lot of pads available via a few additional iDevices and they can even all be active at the same time!

Nothing against Ampify Launchpad, it always serves me well and I also enjoy the interaction with Blocs Wave. But judging by how much more comprehensive and feature-packed Remixlive is compared to Launchpad, and how regularly good updates are released, the Ampify developers now seem pretty lazy and complacent. Or in the end they just don't seem to have the greatest interest in developing their iOS babies consistently and regularly. But I'm happy to be proven wrong and surprised with AU, multi-out and multi-track export. Feels like you can expect all that more from Mixvibes though.

That’s good about 8x6 grid for iphone. Ultimately though I need more than that for what I want to do.

I’m working on a solution using LK as the launchpad and Drambo instances to hold the audio clips. I reckon this could be a winner

I forgot about Drambo... I think it's going to stun us in the coming updates... And LK/Atom is moving along very nicely..

    Things are happening...

    Bless..

  • Seems 6.1 dropped... Can't tell what was added...

It’s still a no go for me if they refuse to implement midi and controllers.
They have been very adamant about staying touchscreen only.
But those automated knob turns give me hope....

ok.. looks like they have added Midi Controller support, New Mac version, and more loops..

  • Well....it’s either not there or they hidden it reeeeealllly well. (Midi controller support)
