I can sign this. Drum computer is incredible. With the pitch stuff you actually get a minimal techno Groovebox ;)

    Lololololol....

    Yeah, I know.

I was trying to figure out a way to write up all of the things
that I like about it and simply summed it up to ,"it's wicked".

    Okay then,

I'll provide a little bit of depth and I'll try not to be so trite.

    Lolololol

    First things first.

    Link.

    https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/drumcomputer-synthetic-beats/id1502238351

    Next....

Well,... though I haven't loaded up my own samples as yet
there's an ample supply of inbuilt samples which are really good.
I suppose once one loads up acoustic samples and
with the modulations available you could get quite
a passable acoustic sound with a little effort,
obviously without the multi velocity layering but
it's unabashedly a drum computer and view it as such.
If you need realism, hire a drummer.

My only criticism in regards to the presets is
that I wouldn't mind being able to delete some
of the presets because I know I'm not going to use them
and it can be a chore wading through to the ones you like.

The sequencer is nicely laid out, the up and down sliders
get things happening fast though if there was a choice to
indent them to set values rather than continuously sliding them
it would be much easier but saying that sometimes
the randomness of it creates some interesting rhythmic patterns.
Copying patterns is easily done but can be a little bit fiddly.
If you've got an Apple Pencil or a stylus of some sort
    it makes it much easier.
The Remix, Auto 1, Auto 2 is simple, instant gratification.

    The sound sections,
    resonator, wavetable/analogue oscillators
    and resynth/sampler are brilliant.
One can create a vast amount of
electronic percussion and melodic lines with ease.
I still haven't learnt the entire routing system yet
but the majority of the routing is easy to learn
and simple to adjust to taste.

For the beginners turn the dials.
For the advanced turn the dials and go through the menus.
For the geniuses, roll your own.

The overall compressor/finalizer/tape warmer section is fun
but it can get a little bit to much and I wish the reverbs were better.

It took me a moment to see how it communicates
outwardly in regards to saving projects.
Sync to iCloud and it's really quick to load up the presets
on another machine and export to desktop.
The file sizes are really small so export away.
Talking about exporting, I haven't tried exporting loops yet.
    I will do.

It has midi out but I'm not going to use it.
It does have multi audio out as standalone and as an Auv3 which I am going to use.
Unsurprisingly it can be cpu hungry so adjust your projects to fit.

It's a drum computer and you can do whole productions with it.
Drop vocal takes on top amd you're laughing.
I was going to get a hardware drum machine.
I don't need to now especially with the multi audio outputs.

    Digital rights management???
    "No FT?, No comment."

What else can I say at this point.

    Ahhh yes.
    How I started.

    "It's wicked"

    Glad you appreciate it.
I've added some triteness to the depth.
    See above.

    I knew something was missing.

Gosh, I've got to get a proof reader.
Where's an editor when you need one.

    With pleasure.

I'm still hesitating because of the 28 Euro for the IAP.

As you can use it standalone then record the outs.
Think old school radio and cassettes.

    This will need to wait...

Take the time, there's no rush.

I merely wanted to share my joy at a remarkable piece
of software which is going to remain a part of my tool set.

  • Great, informative, thoughtful review.
Maybe consider copy/paste to the AppStore, if you haven’t already.

    Seriously, that was really great!
    👍🏻

I think the greatest reward comes from do something yourself, and doing it well. And the purpose of communication is to accurately transfer information. A single letter or a lack of punctuation can be disastrous. For example dare you click this link? In really it's less offensive than you might think. Visit

    Well noted.

I tend to write on the spur of the moment
which can lead to errors in punctuation etc.
One of the things my English teacher once clearly
demonstrated to our class is that when one has written
something one can easily miss the errors.
Hence why proof readers exist and even they can miss stuff.
She demonstrated this by using the classic,"Brain and Brian".
Our minds fill in the gaps, sometimes to great humour
and very true a missing ,'ing', changes the meaning
somewhat or merely doesn't translate well.

I visited the link and yes a missing hyphen
makes an innocent sounding title ambiguous.
I'm not about ambiguity, I straight talk.
    Always have done.

I also write how I speak which for some could be ,'scene', as a hindrance or an asset. ;)

I'm not going to hazard a guess.

    Agreed.

Though I must say that the dRambo-dRm computer combo
is slamming and I haven't even started with the samples yet.

I am going to write up a review of dRambo soonish
as I have invested a lot of time in dRambo to be fair
but I'll do that one when I'm inspired to do so.

I'm enjoying DrumComputer. Building something like this in D would take days and then you still wouldn't have MIDI Sync and the dedicated UI.
    Also love the instrument randomiser!

It's really a work of love.

    Very true.

Obviously as a dRambonaut I did attempt to
reverse engineer one channel in dRm computer. 😂
It took me days, it's no where close but it was fun to do
and it also was good for me as it showed me how much
I have learnt from dRambo and how much more I can still learn.

It's really a work of love.

dRm computer is a work of love and it shows.

    Also love the instrument randomiser!

    Agreed.

    The randomiser is certainly fun.
Also there's a preset called ,'Randtone', I'm in love with it.
I've got to be careful that I don't put it in every track I do.

this thing is amazing, and imo the best thing to ever happen to drum machines. the sequencer/slider combo is uncannily fast and wicked

    Isn't it though.
    I've been like wow...wtf....
I was shopping for a hardware drum machine.
    I've stopped looking.

The sequencer is a doddle to use.
I thought it was going to be more complex
and the swing and humaniser that's fun.
    It's so intuitive.

The pitch slider thingy, with the automatic sine wave???...
    That's so cool...
