  • @rs2000 it will always take much longer to reverse engineer something. It must be like code breaking and still likely impossible in some cases as unorthodox custom waves and samples might have been used.

Definitely. It doesn't always make sense to clone anything. 🧟‍♂️

    I’m glad I didn’t take that code then!!!! 😅

    Most certainly.

You would've been sucked into a vortex of grooves,
randomised sonic textures and compelled to post up
an in depth review that began with a summary
    that included, 'It's wicked'.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone myself. 😂

On another note I'm glad my attempt at reverse engineering failed.
I don't like sharing my failures but I may use it on a track in the future. 😏

    True.

In studying the greats one can learn a lot but cloning lacks a certain something.

There's currently a clash between two major
audio hardware companies at the moment.
One spent years designing their product, a midi controller/sequencer and
the other company took the design and copied it almost to the millimetre
and made it cheaper by £10.

Inspiration is one thing, copying and calling it your own is another.

I’m serious though. I’m suffering from a chronic lack of focus at the moment and the last thing I’d want is another source of distraction. It would have been wasted on me, glad you’re enjoying it @Gravitas

I hear you on the chronic lack of focus.
    It's not surprising.

Yeah, I am enjoying dRm computer.
Whether I had won it or bought it, I would've enjoyed it either way.

    Now that's cryptic.

I'm not going to hazard a guess.

    Would you like to share???

Heh, is the cryptic part ‘timeline based AU host’? That would be BM3, NS2 or Cubasis.

Lololol, yeah, that was the cryptic part.

Yeah, I agree it would be cool if any of those would ,"pony up",
but I'm not holding my breath in that regards.

    Did it make you chuckle?....

I chuckled inside a little. Don’t give up on your comedy routine just yet!

With that, I do agree with the sentiment; it is wicked!

  • 28€ is the cyber sale price? 😲 Almost as if iOS prices have started to normalize a bit.

I think that is the regular price and that it is not on sale. (?)

    No.

I think because drum computer was released
not to long ago they kept the price as normal.

Not all of their apps are on sale.

Saying that, I picked up ,"Unique for iPhone", for £1.99
It scales and everything on the iPad.
    I was pleasantly surprised.
It certainly beats the "Unique for iPad", version
which is currently on sale for £7.99.

It's a pity I can't buy it twice at that price.

You know, no brainer and all that.

    It sounds really good.

Did the base app cost money before? Because that was free, but there is the IAP to unlock the full app.

I also downloaded the base app which was free
and then unlocked the app using the code I had won.

SugarBytes have a try before you buy system.
The base app is free with saving your own presets and auv3 disabled.
You unlock these functions using the IAP.

The current price for the IAP is £23.99 here in the U.K.
Which could actually be the sale price...

Ok, thanks. That’s a pass then since it’s in the ”nice to have” category for me.

    No worries.

I'm sure ,'dRm computer', is going to be around
for quite awhile so I highly recommend patience.

    In the interim???

Do you have any music that you've done that I could listen too?

Amazing setting! This pic needs some Caribbean percussion sounds to go with.

Well we’re all pretty spoiled here on ABF. IPad truly is by far the best standalone device in the world imo.

    I won’t argue with that!

  • @lukesleepwalker

    Let @CapnWillie show off.

The proof in the pudding is in the results.
    There's a saying
"All fur coat and no knickers".

Look up the meaning if you don't know it already.

    @CapnWillie

Nice photo, was the focus deliberately on the
guy in the distance as the iPad is slightly blurry and
I do agree the iPad is an amazing standalone device.
    That's why I have two. 😏

    Chuckle....😂

    Chuckle....😂

Not much went into the flick but if the guy in the distance makes it a better view for you never-mind the horizon.😜

    Wonderful repartee. 😜

    An actual sense of humour....Lolololol

Couldn't you 'ave, you know, photoshopped him out or something.
I looked at the shot, saw the coffee,
thought yeah, saw the iPad with drm computer
    and was like ,'yeah, wicked....'
    Then I went....
'Who's the guy in the distance???'
    'Get out the way...'
The view was perfect until then...

I’ll add that the only thing better than 1 iPad Pro, is a few.lol

At the rate I'm going next year my music room
is going to be wall to wall iPads and idevices.

    I've got to stop.

That’s a pretty good idea @Intrepolicious I’ve only done hip hop/trap beats with DC so far. I think I’ll try to create a Caribbean vibe next.

    Nice.
A mate of mine here in U.K launched his U.K. hip hop channel yesterday
so I've been listening to a fair amount the past couple of days.

Have you got any tracks up??

It was $26.99 before sale. $24.99 for sale. Since it was new I was surprised to see it drop, but I held out for that reason, and it did drop $2. That was fine with me. I love this beast.

I certainly agree with your critique, once you brought my attention to the bugger he very well screwed up the pic😩.

    >
    Oh, I'm so sorry.
    I'm also a painter and a photographer.

Okay...we both agree he screwed up the picture???..

    Cool

    He's not there anymore...

    Cool.???

    Perfect. 😃

In his defense, I think he was looking at the same thing as I was.lol

    Most probably.

    It's a wonderful view.

I'm in the heart of London.
We've just come out from Lockdown.
I'm reading up on mRNA's and proteins etc so that
I can least sound like I know what I'm talking about.
So you know, a photo of a beach even with
some dude standing there is much appreciated.

    Nice.

No tracks up. Havent had any social media or online presence outside of ABF in a very long time. I have posted here a few times in the past under various screen names usually including Willie. Words and voice are my fav tools, any beats or production I do is in service to writing lyrics.

    Oh....

You write lyrics and you have a voice???...

    Why didn't you say???

    Let's talk....

    Quick update.

The review with a couple of tweaks is now up on the App Store.

    Thanks for the suggestion. 👍🏽
