Yes, this was a big debate since version 1.0, most users request to change on the spot and not of the end of the loop.

There are many reasons to do so. Even more now with 4 riffs. Because what would be the “loop” actually? Which of four riffs will be the “master” as each can have different timing

This makes sense if you think about it actually 👌

The option to have it both ways would be best. The app becomes less useful to me to use presets in a musical way and “play riffer” live if all riffs switch instantly and get out of sync with the host tempo. The only way to fix it is to stop the transport and start again and everything is in sync again. I like the fact that riffs can have different timing but one of the layers is going to always still be my reference point.

Maybe the option to allow riff 1 to be the master riff and all other will defer to the cycle of R1?

  • I use my iPad with an iConnectAudio4+ so i have 4 hardware audio inputs and 6 audio outs. I am TRYING to get midi from Riffer to my MC707 which is hooked up via midi to the audio4+ but i can't figure out how to get more than midi channel 1 working thru Audiobus with Riffer. Anyone have luck getting a hardware unit to respond on multiple midi channels? thanks!
