Is IK multimedia a horrible company?
What do you think?

What do I think..... I think this post should be taken down. Or do it properly.

I'd need more information to answer. At this stage all I can say is I've had some ups and downs, but what I've bought I have really liked. Beyond that I feel they are just another company like most. Trying to stay in business as best they can while making it worthwhile for the company and employees. I don't know of anything that would put them in the "really horrible company" category. Like anything though, personal experiences will vary. They've annoyed me but ultimately nothing I would get too worked up about.
Sounds personal 🤷🏽♂️
This is not a personal experience.

If you search the AB site you will find several comments from many user saying the same thing.

If you're one of them then it's personal. Not just you obviously, but personal nonetheless.
I have my reservation about IK due to some questionable behaviour in the past. However, this post should be taken down or heavily modified with examples. Simply calling a company horrible without pointing out what exactly makes them horrible is very bad form.
I invested a lot in SampleTank, and it seems dead. They should make it into a sample player, at least, and of course AUv3.
It's very simple they have no customer support that I am aware of or have read on several places on the internet. I did try to contact them and they just don't care. This is not just my opinion. Many others feel the same way. If you buy a pen and it doesn't write. Do you just except that or would you return it? Now what if there was no way to return it. I am just supposed to except that? No way. I call them as I see them. In hopes that these devs out there clean there game up. Nothing more. I want apps to do what they promise and if they don't then they are just horrible.
This post should be taken down. It is not in the spirit of this forum.
The fourm is to share information not to police it. There is nothing that is not true in this poll.
It's not really a poll, is it? It's a "fuck those guys" defamation thread. You're obviously angry, and maybe you're angry for good reasons, but this is no way to deal with it. Your other thread too, just comes across as toxic anger. I'm sure you have some valid points to make, but you're not going to be heard if you're picking fights. Might want to rethink your strategy.
OK can someone share a good experience with them?
I will never buy any of their hardware controllers. They’re nice but registration makes it absolutely pita when buying second hand.
I’ve purchased: pads, several blueboards, irings etc. They are well made products but the registration stuff? Meh. Fortunately the pads can be edited on the unit.
PC or not, I don’t like them.
The survey question itself is poorly written as well or deliberately misleading.
Headline Is IKM ripping people off ie yes is a negative answer and no is supportive of IKM
Question does IKM care about customers ie yes is supportive of IKM and no is negative.
If you read the post those are not even my words. I just used them from a previous comment.

What's happening on your side?
SampleTank works fine for me
iRig Pro and Blueboard here, both second hand, no trouble with registration or functionality as far as I can see. I think I had to ask super about re registering the iRig and that went so smooth I can’t remember it 🤣
I have not tried sample tank yet. My issue is they keep customers in the dark and they don't seem to care about responding or addressing customer issues. I have tried several time reaching out to them with no response. All I want to know is if you can buy the synth individually on the paid version of Syntronik. No where is this listed on there site or app store. I know it shows in the app store discription, but it's not available in the app. The app wants me to buy the full or deluxe version. This seems like a very shaddy move on there part. Especially when they don't mention it anywhere and make seem like you can.
Software-wise anything I bought from them works great. I have MixBox CS on iPad, T-Racks 5 on mac and many amplitube models both iOS and Mac. I use some T-Racks stuff daily. Never had to deal with their support so I don’t know about that. I think they make good stuff and don’t know why one would call them a terrible company...
IMO Mixbox seems to be the only one that's working well in ios. I also want to sate that I own All IK multimedia products for Mac and they work fine. This is about there IOS apps and there lack of support for these apps.
.
@X3LA I wouldn’t base my opinion on incorrectly listed IAP prices in the App Store, those could be Apple’s error or simply crossgrade prices and therefore the most frequent prices for that purchase. Take for example the Overloud IAPs listed in the App Store:
They list some of those rigs as 99 cents, but that’s the price only if you already own that same rig on desktop. Those rigs are actually $15-$25, but it’s the desktop users that buy them more frequently for 99 cents. So for all we know this is a bug in the App Store IAP listings and not anything deliberately misleading from IK. They could be incorrectly listed crossgrade prices.
I didn’t own any IK products until recently, I bought a pair of iLoud MTMs which I love (free upgrade when the iLoud micros I ordered got lost in the mail), and I also have MixBox and some Amplitube stuff. Funny enough when it comes to customer service, I’ve been using Facebook Messenger most of the time with different companies. And it works! On messenger all the companies respond quickly and casually and you can often get a good response from someone more knowledgeable. With IK, they initially respond with a blanket statement, and when I follow up, they get developers involved and respond to your questions properly. That’s been my experience.
Based on this forum, IK hasn’t had a great reputation. There will always be unsatisfied customers. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by them. It is indeed troubling if apps get abandoned or if people feel that they’re being ripped off. I wouldn’t base this on the App Store or grumbling from unhappy customers, I would base it on the product. At the end of the day it’s what matters.
Agreed.
@X3LA whenever I have had issues with anything they have always responded and done so charitably.
When you say anything you have posted or said here is true, this is in reality false because they do have customer support and have always been helpful - even here on the forum. This of course is my experience.
I also own the BlueBoard and have had no issues.
