I’m debating air 3 vs 10.5 Pro quite a lot at the moment, both have headphone port and support my pencil v1. Air is faster but Pro has more ram is the biggest factor that’s causing me to think, plus the pro you can get much larger disk space...

I’ve got an iPad Air 3 here with 256gb.
It compliments my 9.7 iPad Pro rather nicely.

Interesting, my current pad is the same as yours...

I have both running side by side.
As I’ve had the iPad Pro much longer most of the projects are on there.
I use the pro as a sound source or standalone
for dRambo, BM3 and drum computer.
I live mix using the iPad Air 3.

Sounds like a great setup, kinda what I was thinking of 👍

It works wonders and is a lot of fun.

Krupa heads to ebay with hope in his heart :))

  • I have a 10.5 2017 pro. Getting the older model gives you a headphone jack which i use all the time. From what i can tell the cpus in the newer models are not crazy faster (maybe 30-40%), instead they have better graphics and other features less relevant for music.

Apparently I’m gonna be the only one telling you to go with the 11”
There a massive performance difference between an a10 and an a13/14.
You don’t even need a pro considering there’s basically 0 apps that use multicore for audio.

Basically 0 being a synonym for Cubasis 3?

1 out of 1000s is basically 0. And it’s rendering only.
iPad Air 4 also outperforms the 2017 pro it in multicore
