@supadom, well, 2 and 3 finger-taps are not exactly mute/unmute, it's clear/undo, so you only can use it on one octave/color or all at the same time. I think your idea is still valid.

Funny that, it seems to work just like mute ;)

  • @supadom, yep! Although you can't mute-then-unmute two or more octaves with this trick. Also if you edit anything, undo buffer will be cleared.

  • Ok, get it. It's good to know that, cheers.

  • Nice track, @supadom. Congrats.

  • @supadom I like the tune and I love the drum pattern. Mind if I ask what/how?

Haha, you're kidding me right? It is a bm 2's own DeeMX emulation with no processing whatsoever. I just modified hihat bounds by cutting out the beginning of the sample. Most of hihat sounds in kits are way too strong IMO. That's all same drowsy 4 bar loop all the way through. Guess that's what the tune needed ;)

    Thanks, much appreciated feedback @YuriT @fjcblanco @syrupcore

  • Regarding velocity control in Xynthesizr, I have it working with the internal synth, obviously, but not necessarily with Virtual MIDI. For example, I was trying to control velocity with Addictive Synth - the MIDI control of the notes and clock worked fine, but velocity control didn't do any volume swells.

Is there something universally that you can do to control velocity over MIDI, or is just going in app-by-app and figuring out how to set up a velocity parameter to MIDI control. Thanks.

It's the pattern I'm on about, not the sounds. Love it. Well done.

  • @yurit finally had a good few hours with the iPad version last night mostly controlling hardware synths. SO MUCH GOOD. Thank you!

@StormJH1, velocity is simply a numeric value sent within note on and note off messages. How this value is handled and used is the responsibility of the receiver. From my experience, not all iOS synths respond to velocity in any way.

Does Addictive Synth behave differently with other sequencers/controllers?

  • @syrupcore, happy to hear that, thank you!

  • For those who are still hesitating, this was sequenced almost entirely on xynthesizer.

  • @Yuri, just wondered if a song mode was possible? At the moment I'm creating sequences then triggering them as and when, which is fine. It would be easier if I could lay them out in on a timeline somehow?

  • @Fitz, a song mode isn't there yet, but I hope to implement it in some future release.

  • @supadom - Fantastic. Great work.
