i emailed korg support today, i’m sure it’s useless but i asked for auv3 support and the ability to transfer presets from standalone to lexington. never hurts to keep letting them know what we want 😎

Exactly, presets sharing and AUv3 support are strong points that should be high up on KORG's todo list.

absolutely, they are not cheap apps in comparing to the rest of the ios environment , and at the higher price teir, as well as being korg, i would expect them to be the latest and greatest with their products and set the bar high

Been using Virsyn Tera Synth again and it's very Odyssey like in terms of synth architecture and UI design. But 10x the possibilities, very modular actually. It's a sleeper that I should devote more time to.

Not quite the answer you're looking for but if it's a specific patch you want to use, you could auto sample it in either Chameleon or Audiolayer and then use it as an AU. I did this with the brilliant Poppy Garden patch. Worked really well. The final sound was indistinguishable to me.

When auto sampling synths one loses most of the expressive possibilities...manipulating the sliders in realtime to change the sound.

Yeah, plus the ‘Poppy Garden’ preset mentioned here is a good example of why its kind of pointless. It’s got a distortion on the output which sounds different depending on the notes/chords played simultaneously. Single notes don’t have much distortion, it kicks in with 2 or more notes played.
Not to mentioned the added ‘Apollo’ reverb.

Interesting comments. I was using it for a specific lead line on a specific song. Every note was sampled separately and I couldn't tell any difference at all but then again I was only playing individual notes...

If when you play a synth you don’t change settings (like playing with the filter or envelope, etc) when you play and don’t make use of the things like the mod wheel or cc’s while playing, sampling will reproduce the synth sound.

    Yeah I just play notes🙂

none of the arp odyssey hardware synths have patch storage and it makes sense why once you dig into the architecture of the synth..

that being said, the best way to share patches is with a layover or patch sheet.

if anyone wants some amazing patches that come in a great package, complete with color sheets and audio examples of each patch, really helps so you know if you want to create the patch and if you got it right... then i highly suggest these ones from LFO store... they killed it with the packaging and the patches..
here’s the demo that made me pick em up

they also have a second pack based on the korg re release, and they are good but these are much deeper and richer.

    and their korg patches..
