Price increase on the 23rd of March for both iphone and Ipad versions of Animoog. Might this indicate a new update is coming? Auv3😱? @MoogMusicInc

Already got all the IAPs for the Animoog iPad version but never got them for the iPhone version as I still hope the app will become fully universal at some point and if I can dream an AUv3 too.

I've also loaded a bunch of additional wavetables into Animoog.
Don't remember where I found them properly formatted but I've got all the AKWF's loaded, loads of fun!

The Moog FIltatron is another favorite and just this morning it got its AppStore certificate renewed along with some other classic apps.

Think about it Moog already has a nice 'sample player' in Filtatron that could be handy as an AUv3...
(Give it an option to re-trigger the sound using midi and set the playback pitch based on the incoming midi-note and boom!).

    Cheers!

I have all the iap for animoog including the grateful dead bundle, and lately I’ve been thinking about getting the one for iphone so that I can run 2 instances in Aum. Animoog is lightweight and would be amazing as AUV3. I also have Filtratron but honestly never used it. Will download it again today and see if it’s fun to run as Iaa.

Yes, Filtatron would make a great AUv3 too

    Synthmaster One big sale.
If you don't have this one yet, you need it. It's one of the best.
Not sure if iap are on sale as well.

    https://apps.apple.com/app/id1254353266#?platform=ipad

Yes they are. And I agree, best allround synth on iOS, highly recommended. It also has a really well optimized iPhone view, so perfect synth if you are on an iPhone.

Thanks @Poppadocrock, I had been waiting for Synthmaster.

It is my own fault, but I only noticed the privacy statement after purchasing. Hopefully the “user content” collected is just logs. Annoying for companies to reach in and take your contact info in a paid app, rather than politely ask for it.

I’m half thinking of getting a refund but if I do not then are the IAP presets worth getting?

    Yea I don’t like that.

The Factory Expansion definitely is you get like 1200 presets, that’s the only one I have so far.

  • @LFS :

Is there any chance that a future update to Cubasis 3 could have an option to switch to the more conventional file saving model. I HATE the current way it works - I either end up altering/ruining a song project that was working or I end up with loads of similar clones. I very much prefer the traditional method of file saving - with Save or Save as. I realise that Apple want everyone to adopt their suggested way of doing things but really it's horrible. I also note for what it's worth, that Cubasis instrument presets work in the traditional way.

  • @Sabicas said:
Cubasis can't do crossfades? That seems very basic. How do you fade in and out when editing audio?

Of course it can do crossfades - move top left/right corner boxes appropriately

  • I think the CineSamples in StaffPad are currently on sale, looks like 50% off. No idea how long they have been on sale or how long they will be on sale for.

The best all-round synth of my choice would be Pure Synth Platinum. Not as deep on the synth front as S1 but more sampled instruments which are quite OK for the price asked. Goes down to 9,99 regularly.

I believe pure synth platinium is more a rompler (sample player) than a synth. It's factory presets take up almost 7GB of storage space... Thinking about deleting it since I am not using it and most of it presets can be reproduced with light weight sound fonts or other relatively simple synths.

It's both. It has surprisingly powerful synthesis capabilities that many people completely overlook.

Just a quick question. Everyone is singing Synthmaster One’s praises, so it’s clearly a great synth. But, I’m not a synth player as such, I just fool around with pads and arpeggiators to create cool layers to my songs. I already have Sunrizer, Synth One, and iWAVESTATION (among others). Does it makes sense to get Synthmaster One if I probably won’t do anything but use the presets and only do minor tweaks? Is it more stable or strong in an AUM environment or are the preset banks just extra high quality to make it worth adding yet another synth to my roster? I know, it’s cheap, but I’m trying to not just buy apps for the sake of it.

Unfortunately I have not seen a sale outside of the CineSamples range. I think StaffPad have some kind of close partnership (own/owned by maybe?) with them which means they can be more flexible but the others are licensed and so there may not be any wriggle room for discounting. I tend to wait for Amazon iTunes gift voucher discounts so I can at least pretend I'm getting some kind of deal when I slap down £99 for a single IAP!

Yeah, as opposed to "knob tweakers" 🤷

I start as a “Preset player” then turn into a “knob tweaker”. When I’m getting close and feeling confident I do one last knob twist that somehow detunes the shit out of the whatever synth. I try to fix it turning more knobs. Misery. Back to preset player. Start again.

  • ...but...are the IAP Synthmaster One presets good? The all inclusive bundle is tempting but every time I listen to the demos I loose my judgement...
