I can't really say if it could be any good on other instruments, I only and always use it with my guitars (both single coils and humbuckers).

You can record directly from AUM channels into Cubasis tracks.
You can but I found it more trouble than it's worth - you spend 10 minutes setting it up and then the transport doesn't sync or audio doesn't record or something, and in the end there's not much difference with just saving audio in AUM and importing it in cubasis.

Thanks @Poppadocrock, I had been waiting for Synthmaster.
It is my own fault, but I only noticed the privacy statement after purchasing. Hopefully the “user content” collected is just logs. Annoying for companies to reach in and take your contact info in a paid app, rather than politely ask for it.
I’m half thinking of getting a refund but if I do not then are the IAP presets worth getting?

Already got all the IAPs for the Animoog iPad version but never got them for the iPhone version as I still hope the app will become fully universal at some point and if I can dream an AUv3 too.
I've also loaded a bunch of additional wavetables into Animoog.
Don't remember where I found them properly formatted but I've got all the AKWF's loaded, loads of fun!
The Moog FIltatron is another favorite and just this morning it got its AppStore certificate renewed along with some other classic apps.
Think about it Moog already has a nice 'sample player' in Filtatron that could be handy as an AUv3...
(Give it an option to re-trigger the sound using midi and set the playback pitch based on the incoming midi-note and boom!).
