Cool, been playing around with some random streams from here:
https://streema.com/radios/search/
A bit hit and miss but a fun new option for sound sourcing ...
Like it so far.
Using it with to record some nice samples
I'm finding that sites with direct links to audio files - ones that don't use a coded 'player' - work best, although this isn't always true. Some sites will show error messages (like Radio Garden) but the content still plays and other times the content will just show as continuously buffering ... Unfortunately it seems to have problems with 'standard' pls and m3u based streams, but it is able to play mp3 and other file formats - so far, I'm liking this. Hopefully it won't get banned by Apple for some kind of copyright problems.
I am getting weird little glitches from radio streams - I have the radio app and that creates no glitching
Sorry.
Thanks for the clarification.
Librivox recordings will not play I get this error “This video file cannot be played.(Error Code: 224003)”
Shame cos I thought it would be great if I could direct sample
Correction they can be played if you scroll above for the WinAmp player and play from there.
Click on the Lama to get to the player
What a great tool... I'm re-mastering @linearlineman's "Pictures at a Planetarium" using Mixbox for my own listening pleasure. (Really sounds great without anything extra but I love the sonic contributions MixBox adds to the stereo image and harmonic spectrum.
I've been eager to apply my IOS AUv3 FX to a host of audio services: Podcasts which often need compression and some EQ mastering, for example.
Thanks for working so well with Apple to get this through the process of approvals. I have no idea how you do it but it's worth a lot to me.
Ouah I was waiting for this!! I only tried it with Freesound, Soundcloud and Vimeo's videos so far and it works amazingly! In conjonction with Gauss it s very nice .I just wish we could save web pages somehow. They can not be saved as a preset wich would be very handy.
Blue Mangoo and presets hate each other. That's why they hardly ever have any in their plug-ins.
Working really well with:

Please post a link. We will try to fix it. Thanks.
Please send us a link of the stuff that doesn’t work. We will fix it if we can or add it to the unsupported list if we can’t. Hopefully we fix it.
I’m really enjoying it. Thanks so much @Blue_Mangoo

I have saved an audio file but do not know how to send it to you. Thanks

How are people getting on with web SDR with this?
From websdr.org I can get a stream to play, but can't apply an effect and it stops when I close the Web audio player window. The 'transport' at the bottom of the window just shows 'buffering'...
Hmm that doesn’t sound like much fun, I’ve been looking at portable short wave radios as an interesting and interactive alternative
Blue_Mangoo is looking into WebSDR, so hopefully he'll have luck. It might be the nature of the embedded player those use though.
Ah great, thanks for the info 👍👍 I’ll keep watching
Just grabbed this guy after a few recent updates, and wow does it open up the ability to access so many web audio sources. Do a few clever Google searches and soon you’ll find so many sounds, so many sites, music, podcast, radio, royalty free stuff, CC Liscense stuff, the options are near endless.

Cheers, I’m well into that one, thanks 🙏
I just updated to iOS 14.5 and soon after looked at Storage and it showed Web Audio - Taking up 1.3Gb of space. I’ve saved maybe a dozen bookmarks… does anyone know or can someone confirm if this is displaying correctly ? I’m having trouble believing it’s taking up that much space. Its all in the Documents and Data, if you look at the app via settings, storage. Any ideas? Is it somehow retaining the audio it played from the web, Last time I used it?
It does use a lot of disk space to cache audio files but it should delete them after you stop playing. We will look into it and make sure it is purging the cache each time you restart it.
Thanks. Just so I know, if it is not purging the cache, would it load the last audio file I ran, the next time I use it?
Thank you @Blue_Mangoo for this awesome app!
My favorite use is not for recording, but rather to listen to all of my favorite radio stations worldwide with EQ and a dash of reverb to allow me to adjust my audio while hiking with headphones, listening in my car with subwoofers or at home on my massive multi-room stereo system.
It has totally changed my musical life!
You guys are the best.
