+1 to both +1s

Where are we on the + - now? I'm not good at math. I think Retronyms stuff shows promise, but falls short. I know lots of people like TT. I like some things about most Retronyms products, but there are fatal flaws, for me. I'd love to see them get on the right track. More options is better.
+5 to Morris's +1 I'm still buying it though... Being that I produce hip hop this seems to be one of the few apps catered to hip hop production..
I exchanged some emails with retronyms support about 6 months ago, when they showed up on ipad musician Facebook group (I miss that group since I deleted my account, only thing I miss about fb), but then the update to fix stuck notes on imini took 6 months. Either it was a REALLY complicated fix or they just didn't rush, but it made the app unusable, at least for live work. It is fixed now though. So they weren't rude, just not quick to respond and implement.
Regardless, as much as I try to pretend I'm a hip hop or electronic musician, I've finally come to terms that I'm not and the MPC style app doesn't really fit my work needs at all. Remind me I said that when this or UVI beat hawk comes out please! ;-)
@MoonWolf, would you care to be more specific about the "fatal flaws" and the "more options" you alluded to in your post?
Hopefully his beard grows quick )
I really liked iMPC, but it felt unfinished. And where do you put that you can't even zoom that damn sample?
I have always love TT, don't like the way they handle bugs and fixes, to me they take to long to address users problems. Also they seems to neglect their user base.
I must say that since last update it seems to be a lot more stable.
Let's see what the new IMPC Pro would bring, I am also sure there is a update for TT in the mix.
I also liked iMPC ,but without proper chopping I never actually used it. At least the samples where very nice ,BUT I have a feeling they where the same samples used on the (free) Tabletop.

I guess you haven't experienced massive crashes with entire projects containing imini and/or impc not loading properly in the previous version of tt. The latest version seemingly fixed that but one starts doubting seriousness of the development team.
impc with audiobus could be interesting however the developers seem to not care what we think about that.
I'm assuming this will be like iMini in that they'll just make it support Tabletop/IAA and no audiobus.
Although the IMini stuck note problem seems to be fixed, it's a real flaw that it only works in Omni mode. Has anyone figured out a workaround to be able to use this in a multi channel setup? It would be nice to have the Midi Message window actually work as well. Works on the ISem, dead on the IMini.

That would be a crucial mistake. It would be like biting your nose to spite your face. It should ideally have audiobus host and send capabilities. Effect slot capability would be icing on the cake and would signal that they now get it.
Retronyms have no interest in ab - I have no interest in Retronyms.
Imini works with audiobus.
the sounds on impc are awesome.....killer samples imo
the sounds on impc are awesome.....killer samples imo
The loops are awful I really hope I can record my own into it this time around. Many sounds as well.

Not really
The net says omni mode only
That makes no difference as far as Audiobus is comcerned. AB is just audio, not MIDI. iMini is AB compatible.
Well, no.
It makes all the difference for me
because when something is in omni mode u cant play different things on different things
every fucking note is going to come out of the thing in omni mode
Yes but that also has nothing to do with Audiobus.
I like the samples in impc a lot, especially with the tabletop editors and other available tabletop manipulations. I don't have complaints about impc or imini for that matter because I use them inside tabletop pretty exclusively. IMini does have a role in other DAWs but with caveats, which I put up with.
My idea re: a "pro" impc is that BM2 is the one to beat, and Retronyms/Akai know this.
Both companies obviously could pull that off, Akai now markets software to go with a $100 controller that could port nicely to an iOS project...and Retronyms software is formidable. As for support issues, to date it's been money well spent, the stuff that I paid (minimal in the big scheme)$ for, two years ago, works the way it ought to. It actually does more than what it could do when I bought it. When I did reach out to Retronyms to ask for even more, they did do some of it. And we chatted about BM2 and multitrack export. Could be cool.
Yes, it has do with retronyms.
Thats no quality, its junk.
Its fucking 2014, we do not need to discuss the midi standard, do we?

I did, I remember it being almost unusable between updates. I'm also a little pissed about iMPC Pro being a new app and not an update. However I also feel that Retronyms gets way more trashing than it deserves. Tabletop has one of the greatest workflows imo and I know for a fact that a lot of the very cool stuff is available for free and you can export your work into whatever. I think Retronyms deserves a little love for being all that good stuff.
@firejan82, I quite agree with you, I have always love the workflow in TT , TT has some cool FX and a very practical way of adding them.
I would like to see a sequencer added instead of the Triggerato , I would also like to see AudioBus and IAA FX.
All in all i like TT, Guy don't be fooled TT has a large following
the loops may be awful but the samples are killer....wow but didnt know the impc pro would not be a update...bummer
@firejan82 I made a few cool tracks with it too, just got burned I guess. I also like the simple audio machine where you can just overdub vocals as many times as you like. The fact that it can run several instances of imini via iaa after the last update did make me want to use it again, just never got the chance
@supadom Do you mean that mic device? I didn't use that one yet. I remember this guy on SoundCloud, Bomb DeLuise made some very cool tracks with TT. He used Gridlock to record his voice into the pads and pitched it down and I also remember hearing some iKaossilator pasted in his tracks. Retronyms even did a Q&A with him.
