@Dham Yes, Element compatibility is confirmed by Akai....but is cool is the compatibility with Desktop version (like iMPC) will be from computer to iPad too...

Yes, I wouldn't expect that to change either. The current version is compatible with the desktop MPC software. You can easily create kits(programs), sequences, etc. while on the go and transfer them back to the desktop via iTunes or in my case to Dropbox via iFile.

Is it just me or was there crackling when he was playing with the eq in realtime? Like a pop sound.
It looks like it's going to be a slow drip feed of feature reveals... Yawn. Akai trying to create a hypetrain :/

  • Yep crackling like its hot

  • Shouldn't he have some pretty heavy stubble at this point?

  • Not if he's cheating... ;-) Could all of the videos have been shot on the same day? :-)

  • This app looks interesting is any app similar to this rigth know in the appstore?

  • Beatmaker 2

  • Really i have BM2 i was thinking in this like some kind of Samplr the app or launchpad, like a mix betwen those apps

  • What do you the the secret upcoming special feature is?

  • Shaving cream dispenser?

A port of the JJOS :D

Beatmaker 2 will probably do what this thing does. On the other hand I'd be very surprised if there's nobody complaining about missing features when this thing comes out. Yes it does look sexy but very unlikely to have audiobus which restricts options considerably. Of course there's iaa and tabletop but if one is deep in audiobus world it becomes a bit of a bummer to have 2 completely separate systems on the ipad especially for those with 16Gb limit. I'll probably get it anyway if they don't go crazy with the price, appoholism ain't easy to live with ;)

  • oh,i didn't notice that impc has IAA support.Anyone tried it with cubasis?

  • edited April 2014

Mmmmm, did you gather that from my post? I meant maybe there's a possibility. Tabletop has IAA so I wouldn't be surprised if the new IMPC pro had it. Not sure about the old one though.

  • Just checked, yes they've added it in the last update but not sure if it will show in all IAA apps. I don't get half of my iAA compatible apps within beatmaker 2.

  • iMPC has IAA, just confirmed this on iTunes

I don't have the app, but I'd assume you could still use it in an Audiobus situation if you wanted to run it in a chain with Audioshare. That's what I do with CMP Grand Piano.

  • I re downloaded it but it didn't show when tried to open it in bm2. Useless.

  • Retronyms implemented IAA in iMPC as a host only. It cannot be used as an instrument in other apps, which severely restricts its usefulness.

  • Good to know, thanks!

iMPC have IAA but only for node input to sample other apps,
I hope iMPC Pro have better options...

  • I wonder what was pixelated?

  • Maybe a brand or a bad word :p too much marketing for this app

Disappearing customer support. Or more realistic accordion samples than beatmaker 2. Not sure which, could be both.
