    +1 for this. The Fishman is really really nice. I wrote MIDImorphosis because I wanted to have a synth guitar, but couldn't justify spending more than $1k on a Roland system. If the Fishman had been available (a steal at $400), I don't know that I would have been motivated to do the coding.

    I think if I just needed for casual use, I could potentially go with an IOS solution - but being able to augment my normal tone with synth apps has become part of my live tone, and I can't see eating up another iPad (or even iPod Touch) just for midi guitar. Already have 2 iPads full of apps I use live and can't afford anything else eating up CPU on them.

    You can find them for around $250-300 on Ebay. Huge improvement in tracking - and ease of installation/footprint - over the Roland systems.

    And do you route the Fishman to your iOS synth apps? Do you connect the USB dongle to a CCK?

    Yup. I'm using an ICA4+ interface with a powered hub attached - dongle connected to the hub. Works really well.
