As I am looking around in Audio Evolution these last couple of days, based on the promise there are tempo/time-signature tracks "coming soon" (sic) I figured I should also check Zenbeats to see where it is at today. I can't see/find tempo/time-signature tracks that allows me to change tempo/time-signature within a track...is that still correct? Just checking so I'm not missing anything.
MTS has these, with mid track changes. I’ve heard Auria Pro does as well, though don’t quote me.

Aye, I know that. My "old" workflow is based around AUM (idea sketching) -> NS2 (fleshing out) -> Auria Pro (adding audio + finalizing). Both NS2 and Auria has what I am asking for. Along with MTS (if that indeed is MultitrackStudio) they are the only ones that do have it in a usable way though (well, also Gadget, but it has other sandbox issues). Cubasis don't have it. Audio Evolution has promised to add it "soon". I can't find it in Zenbeats though, but then again I have "been away" for a bit so just asked in case I missed an update and I am looking in the wrong place within the app.
As it is requirement for me to have it, it is a pretty hard divider for me when it comes to the DAWs on iOS (and also as this is bread-and-butter functionality on the desktop so I have yet to figure out why Cubasis et al do NOT add it, or even answer questions about it).
Yep, its a strange omission. As you said the feature is commonplace if not assumed on desktop

Haha, no worries that is perfectly alright. It was years ago since we discussed that too. I basically have 5 hobbies (and possibly some letter-combinations, hehe) so I ebb/flow in/out of my hobbies in waves these days, where I usually focus (as in totally nerd down) on 1,5-2 of them at a time. Currently I'm back at music-making, but that means I need to backtrack what has happened when "I looked away".
Hmm…somehow it might be possible after all. In the same way as it is possible in Gadget.
In “Scene” mode I can have different time-signatures on the different patterns.

For ipad only use case, is it worth to go above the core membership?
additional features of the Pro membership are:

I'm not sure that any of these features above are available on iPad.
All of those are desktop-only. A core subscription gets you everything that’s available for the iPad.
