PaSSBot by SonicLab / SonicPlanet is a filter bank with stochastic modulation allowing highly complex and interesting modulations of up to 64 different filters simultaneously, with a choice between various filter types. This video walkthrough explains in detail how to use the app, though you may need to consult the manual for some of the finer points. Make sure you check out my videos on Fundamental and VolBot by the same developer. This is one for the experimentalists, lovers of drone, ambient and sound design. Cheers Charles, yes, as I said towards the end of the vid, it is deep but once you figure it out it is simple enough. Quite an interesting tool for drones and soundscapes for sure, kind of thing you could get lost in for hours

Interestingly I’ve tried the demo on desktop and I’m more likely to use it on iOS to be fair, it’s probably easier to use with a mouse etc but the sort of thing I currently use a DAW for isn’t what I’d use this for - more experimenting and finding/tuning a sound to use later, which is what I usually do with my iPad and headphones in a comfortable place

Cheers my friend. The past few months of rapidly deteriorating vision has been a nightmare (and is also why some of you may have noticed I often have typos on posts and go back to edit them after lol)

When my eyes are finally better I will write a longer post about my experience with fast developing cataracts. For now, that will have to wait.

I will also write a post about how so few devs take into consideration how often their apps are very poorly suited to those with less than perfect vision, even with glasses, and I would guess in this community, which is mostly middle aged and older ppl, who get too much screen time, there are many in that boat

The above part is way more important, but I will say what I came to say in the first place: this app is brilliant and sounds so good. It's like a randomized apeFilter in many ways, capable of so much crazy harmonic chaos. Cheers to these guys finally, I didn't much care for their previous 2 entries.

In the meantime, will definitely be keeping away from top much screen time. Then 2 weeks from now the 2nd eye will get done, so I'll be a bit low key for a while I think. Thanks, but my situtatio is a little complicated and a straightforward outcome is far from guaranteed. In fact, the doctor noticed other eye problems during the operation. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed though.

Unfortunately no, I am paying for these out of my own pocket, total cost for both eyes including tests, operation and lenses will be about 4000 pounds sterling Nige
