I got my first dose of Pfizer just a few days ago - no side effects.
Well, ok, I bought a guitar. It was the vaccine that made me do it. My wife doesn't believe me, but it's true.

I know 2 people (in their early 60s) who got the Astra Z shot (1st one) - both experienced extreme depression the following day. That was all.
This is actually in the small print. "Side effects may include appaholism, music gear purchases, noodling with sequencer apps, and renewed interest in life. These are normal and should on no account be interfered with. If a concern arises, be sure to show this information to your spouse."

How long does it take for this side effect to kick in? (Wondering if I still need to be "worried.)"
My side-effect is that I bought a secondhand Sontronics STC-10 microphone, which turned up today (for my livestreaming).
I strongly predict that by the time I get my second AZ shot, the side effects will indubitably include obtaining a new BlackMagic ATEM Mini Extreme.
I have had (2) Moderna shots. First shot nothing but slight discomfort at injection site next day. A month later, received 2nd shot around noon - by 4 o'clock was in bed for about six hours - really down - but next day felt good. Maybe slightly tired, but totally functional. Friends of mine had a pretty bad 2nd day so I feel fortunate.
Hello! Long time lurker, first post (and non-music related to boot). I just received Moderna #2 yesterday. Had a fever at around the 6 hour mark...got chills a bit at 10 hours. Today I fell pretty groggy and sickly...well worth it for sure.

Interesting as this was the only side effect I could attribute to the AZ vaccine. I have my melancholy days but this was a deep rooted depression and something I felt I could not pull myself out of - worrying. I was fine the following day and had nothing since, thank fully.
My Grandma 2 weeks ago in Vicenza Italy did the Pfizer one, first dose. She felt bad the day after the vaccine, but no fever. Now she's good. She's 96 years old btw.
Shit, I just bought a Behringer Crave but I bet I wont get vaccined before fall, can the vaccine also cause this effect prematurely? :O I shall write down all coincidences from now on and will make sure to send the bill to my insurer!
The alternative experiment would be testing out if herd immunity could ever form on its own and either fuck up our health system for months in the process, with virus-free people suffering just as much and dying off from curable aliments because there's a billion old (and some young) people on ventilators blocking all resources. Might save our pension system though. And we'd finally have more precies numbers on how many people get persistent lung damage and such. Or shall we stay in semi-lockdown just a few years longer?
I was about to go get the shot, but came down with Covid instead.
It wasn’t bad for me, I’m fine now, and spent my quarantine week testing out FH-2, which made a really a fantastic week. (I realize Covid has been horrible for lots of other people, I was fortunate)
Side effects? +3 inches
Seriously, I got my 1st AZ jab 3 weeks ago. I felt tired, had headache, slight fever, pain in my joints the next day. Typical flu symptoms. But all these symptoms gone completely the day after.
Long term positive side effect: enormous mental relief, that I don't need to worry about covid as much as I did in the past 1 year... so reassuring.
GF had her 1st shot of the Pfizer vaccine a few weeks ago, as others said mild side effects, she had a sore arm and hot raised area around the injection site the next day. Rang her doctors and they recommended antihistamines and that sorted it out.
I’m booked in for this Friday and also agree with others that the side effects start pre-jab as I’ve been unable to stop myself buying a Maschine+ this afternoon !
Both my wife and I had the AZ vaccination first dose, slightly sore for a day or two around the jab site, otherwise no side effects, very glad we are getting protected, both for ourselves and our close family.
My parents (in their 70's) got both doses of the Pfizer vaccine and had no negative reactions.
Seriously dangerous? Whatever happened to comedy danger? I do enjoy a bit of lighthearted danger too.
I'm under 30, but the Pfizer vaccine was fine for me. I was even undereating and exercising normally as well.
The vaccines are safe and effective (other than causing musical instrument purchases). But we live in a world where anonymous people will create accounts on public web sites, simply to try to fear monger, in the hopes of increasing the number of deaths by slowing vaccination rates. What a world.

I tend to think these topics just bring out a desire to express our deeply held convictions. We could just as easily imagine Annajason has been lurking for months, enjoying the people and community here and then today’s discussion triggered some (gravely misinformed) convictions and a desire to finally make an account to warn us fellow iOS musicians of something he thinks is a real danger to us.
Anyway, hooray for science. And high fives for all those here who have been able to get a covid-19 shot.
I know few people, friends and family who got there’s and no side effects apart from feeling bit run down for a day.
Hopefully this wont turn into an idiotfest spouting nonsense some bloke told them on a YouTube video shot in his shed
Don’t underestimate the knowledge of the guy in his shed. After all, he knows the truth, because he’s got access to that secret news website that no one else has. Besides, it’s not paranoia of someone’s actually out to get you...
Besides all that, now he has an sm7b and a scissor stand, so it must be official.
Probably turned down the Stupid-19 vaccination too...
