Exactly, that’s how to create a “master strip” in AUM.
Also I use Pro-Q3 “low cut” preset which is a steep cut at around 50Hz, but sometimes I’ll lower it just below 40Hz to accommodate lowest bass guitar notes.
I love AUM so much for the design and layout as well as its native processing and midi. But I do wish that one day there could be a user option to convert columns onto a timeline, so it could become the right Daw for everything.
Yeah, AUM is just great. One of the best pieces of audio software I know. I can understand your wish but I think it wouldn’t be the right way for AUM. It is a mixer and AUv3 host and it focuses on that. This focus keeps the code base well maintainable and that is the reason why AUM is so stable. Unlike the bloated DAWs that have tons of bugs. Cubasis, Zenbeats, Auria - you name it.
AUM‘s well hidden timeline is only for sync purposes. Do you know that you can swipe on AUMs song position display to navigate the timeline? Actually there are great apps for MIDI sequencing. For audio tracks there is only 4Pockets MultiTrack. But to be like a DAW there are some things missing. For example looping across AUM and all AUv3s with a timeline. AUM would have to define an interface for that as AUv3 doesn‘t cover that.
Barricade to catch the peaks because iOS spikes!
Do you know if this is also true with Koala Sampler’s native FX?
I agree, keeping AUM stable is paramount for all of us. Why change a great thing, right?
iOS still needs a fresh, major, and stable timeline daw as a complement or alternative to AUM. Cubasis is a nice try but it doesn’t even have tempo track. AEM is really getting there but I can’t get along with the screen layout. MTD is great for simple audio recording. I resort to sketching, arranging, and some tracking in GarageBand, plus AUM, then mixing stems, automating, and finishing in Auria Pro. I just wish AUM was the answer for everything. It’s certainly the best option for mixing recipes and being creative, live applications, and jamming of course.
Just tested it Koala sampler now.
The compressor does cause aliasing only when engaged.
The app doesn’t need to be restarted for the aliasing to go away.
To get rid of the weirdness that is caused by switching off the reverse effect, the app needs to be restarted.

Fascinating intel and thanks for it.
aufx push as a soft clipper or limiter for sure
(hope itll get an auv3 anytime)
Just pick any app from the fabfilter pro bundle on Appsliced and you’ll see its price history. When they drop the price of that app the bundle price also goes down.
I bought the Pro bundle last July (it was 25 or 30% off I think). Hopefully there will be a summer sales this year as well.
