Would this app work for something like creating a control surface for Cubasis? Does it have hui or mcu?

It doesn't have HUI or MCU.

Dang. I thought I found the answer.

As for whether or not it could be used for Cubasis, that depends on whether or not Cubasis allows midi mapping of its mixer controls and also on whether it outputs MIDI when its mixer controls are moved. The latter is needed for two-way updating of the faders. I don't think outputs MIDI when mixer controls are moved.

I’m sure it can be mapped as Cubasis allows that but great point on the outputting midi part. I wonder if Cubasis does this.

Some clever person might be able to accomplish HUI or MCU through LUA scripting I suppose.

    I hope someone does.

It's a challenge. Last I looked, documentation of the protocol was hard to come by and I gave up. Since then, there have been quite a bit of Github projects that look promising for insight. https://github.com/search?q=mackie

  • I really wish TOSC would be on patchstorage. Would be great to download user creations for external synths. The facebook group seems great for people who use facebook, I assume.
