Electronic soundtracks
I hope it’s ok to post this. I wanted to get any suggestions for films with electronic soundtracks people have loved. I. Watching the old assault on precinct 13 and realised I feel like going through a slew with that older film and analogue electronic atmosphere. It doesn’t have to be analogue just not modern EDM type electronic unless it’s amazing I suppose. Hope people have fun with this but happy to remove if it’s not the right place.

More sample loops than electronic but I always like Orbital working with Michael Kamen on Event Horizon
Also, not a score, but very well could be...
We can't talk about this one...
Climax is a must if you’re into Gaspar Noe movies...(just sick) btw...it’s inspired from a true story btw

Blade runner
A totally brilliant movie on every level, the only one directed by the great movie graphic designer Saul Bass, a flop on initial release, hard to find on DVD, reborn now as a cult movie, this from the Wikipedia entry about the electronic soundtrack:
“Brian Gascoigne was the chief composer and Stomu Yamashta was responsible for the music in the final montage sequence, which was cut from the theatrical release. David Vorhaus and Desmond Briscoe composed the electronic music. Waxwork Records released the soundtrack on vinyl in March 2015. It does not include the cut final sequence montage music by Stomu Yamashta. It was the first release of the soundtrack in any format.”
Stomo Yamashta was one of my early electronic heroes.
Classic 70's sci-fi, a really great film. A rich source of samples too; dialogue and sci-fi synth sounds.
Nikita. The french one, not the crappy Hollywood remake...
Not a movie but I would strongly recommend the soundtrack to the BBC series Life On Earth composed by Edward Williams

Coincidentally, last night I watched ‘Anna’, another Luc Besson film, which explores similar territory as Nikita.
Yes, both!
I recently tried to rewatch Escape from New York and it looks frankly ridiculous now, but to this day I can't look at any image of Kurt Russell from any movie without that theme song instantly starting in my head.
Was there another director like Carpenter who also scored the movies they directed?
Space Patrol (the puppet series). Absolutely astonishing for any era, let alone kids' TV.
John Carpenter, Stranger Things...
Electric Dreams...
Yes!
