  • @NimboStratus you're not having much luck. I wonder if there is a short somewhere in the CCK or something. Can you plug an external drive into the CCK with the power adapter plugged in? A USB thumb drive or external SSD should work. If you can't get the drive to show up in the files menu on your iPad then it's something to do with your CCK or pad. If the drive does work then there is something up at the Ethernet end.
If it's just a straight up Ethernet adapter without any hub included you really shouldn't need any extra power to fire it up.

So now tired three different USB to ethernet adaptors. iPad is connected to Apple CCK and that is powered with Apple plug and cable.

Syncwire - ipad reports not enough power to support it
Anker - ipad reports not enough power to support it
Ugreen - ipad doen't complain about power! BUT no ethernet settings appear in iPad settings.

I'm using a brand new Cat6 cable into my router, which works on all port for other devices.

    Any ideas!?

Did you try power to your CCK from non.apple USB power and plugging a powered hub into the CCK and the ethernet adapter plugged into the powered hub?

There are reviews by people with
iPads that say the anker worked for them.

Is your CCK an Apple one?

  • @NimboStratus : one other thing to try: if you have a Mac, try using the Mac's USB to supply power to your CCK. My MacBook Air supplies enough power to the CCK to connect a LaunchPad X -- but if I use the Apple USB power adapter to power the CCK, it doesn't supply enough power.
