Whenever basketball is on, I always make a point to watch the more interesting Curry instead.

(And I’m gonna have to pull for James on this one….exactly the same way I’m a Red Sox fan around my Yankees buddies and a Yankees fan around my Red Sox buddies)

  • Dubs suck! 😉

Great game tonight. Dubs played it the only way they could. Heart and soul down to the wire. 🙏🏼💕

    Here’s to a proper 2022 Season with a healthy Klay 👊🏼™️

    Go Dubs💕
@CapnWillie Truth. Curry is the soul of Basketball and how it should be played. For the Lord and then for the Fans 👊🏼™️

Yeah. Grizzlies next. Anything is possible.

Good to have Basketball back outside the Bubble.

Indeed. I’m heading to the Heat vs Bucks game sat in Miami. Not my fav team but gotta support the home team. Go Heat!

Nice. Enjoy the game. Happy that Jimmy Butler finally got a taste of the ring 👊🏼™️

  • Steph is just so much fun to watch

  • I know almost nothing about basketball. I will say that if someone is playing it that I do recognize that it is the sport called basketball. I know about long shot points and that is a thing supposedly. I hear you can slam dunk, but I don’t know if it makes a difference.

I lived in a city very close to Akron, OH for several years, but fortunately far enough because I do not like Akron. I remember when they announced this LeBron and his successful carrier. I remember when people loved him and then hated him when he left Ohio (you could hear about it at the local Akron area gas station as I worked around there at the time) , and I fortunately left Ohio as well but hear people love him in Ohio again.

So, he joined the Warriors? I know he left the Cavs anyway.

No he joined the Los Angeles Lakers... the basketball team that most Movie Stars follow
like Jack Nicholson. It's the team closest to Hollywood.

Then there's the LA Clippers that the movie hair stylists love... and Billy Crystal I think
    who does his own hair.

Le Bron and his team are still in the contest and the Warriors are out now. The Warriors are the closets team to San Francisco... playing across a bridge in Oakland. In San Francisco,
hair dressers are movie stars. But the movies are made by the Mitchell Brothers. Long story... wide angle lens.

Dillon Brooks is comin’ for ya. Look out. And I don’t think you can take another round of Jonas

Thanks @echoopera Im sure you know enjoying will be an easy task. Nothing like the live fellowship, action and vibes at an NBA game. One of the things I missed most about quarantine.

Agreed @oat_phipps ive always loved Butler’s approach to the game. His hustle and dedication to it is as compelling as his personal journey there. That’s what makes the nba so special. You can see things you admire about these guys through there craft, then you may follow that into their background and find so many inspiring parrellels or familiar challenges that may or may not empower you to be a baller in your own right, craft, life, etc. Power to that Goal! Whatever it is.

Westbrook may be pound for pound the most explosive player I’ve ever seen in any sport. Sheer physical gift meets relentlessness. I was hugely disappointed they lost so badly the other night. I’d love to see him play on the biggest stage again.

Ahhhh the sweet 90s. When players still trash talked, threw elbows and tried to mug high flyers on the way to the rim.lol. I definitely miss Reggie vs Spike, MJ vs MJ, and the great Giants that dominated the paint.

I will say, I’ve finally embraced the new game. It is very much a different more high paced offense centric science and marksmen like Steph, DameTime, KD, Harden, Kyrie, etc have stretched the floor and brought new meaning to long range. These guys will pull up from the parking lot. You now must play full court defense almost every night.

I love that it opens the game to smaller guys now. Guys that would have had little chance making the nba in the 90s. Back then you needed to be 6’5+ and ready to bruise with few exceptions.

I mentor youngins and watching them trying to be like Chef (Steph) instead of Jordan tickles me. When I was coming up, we just wanted to dunk. Now, everyone wants to shoot from as far away as possible. Even girls will pull up from half court nowadays. It’s hilarious but definitely takes significantly more dedication to master....and, a lot more forgiving on the knees and back.

I can still feel the affect hooping up until D1 College had on my body. It was all worth it tho.❤️

I’m still not adjusted to the “any 3-point shot at any time, even if you can’t shoot, is an acceptable good shot.” I need the pendulum to swing back a bit on the 3s and for things to get back to a more all-around attack (not bashing the Currys or Dames, but the average shooters who still always have the green light).

I watched a game from the 2014 Spurs-Heat Finals a couple days ago (that years Spurs is my favorite team ever, the revenge arc was just so good how they came back and crushed them after Pop & Kawhi blew it the year before), and it was so much more enjoyable when both teams weren’t hunting threes.

Hope the Warriors stick around a bit longer. Time to take on the Grizzlies...I hope they play with the same energy and cut down on turn overs this time around.

Will be an interesting game...Go Playoffs!

The Warriors aren't out. They play tomorrow night at home. if they win they will be the 8 seed in the Western playoffs.

  • The weirdest thing of all: The Knicks and the Nets are in the playoffs. And they're both pretty good.

  • Go Dubs! Huge Warriors fan here!!

  • Psh, Warriors. Y’all gon’ get Dillon Brooks’ed. Memphis fan, born and bred

Eh, it’s time for the changing of the guard. A lotto pick would be pick 14 with less than 1% chance to move into top 4, making the playoffs means pick 16 or 17. Big deal. Maybe we can move up and get Scottie Barnes…maybe. We already got really lucky once with Morant. Still hurts to miss Doncic and Zion by one pick in back-to-back years. I love Morant’s attitude, but I think he’s close to maxed out already, not including natural improvement through experience. Dunno if the shot will ever come around.

Bubble hoops was very high quality and entertaining though. I could hardly watch this season, with so many uncompetitive games.

I saw every Spurs game that season. I agree, most fun-to-watch bb team of all time. Few things gave me more joy than watching Boris Diaw backing some guy down and then kicking it out even though he had worked himself into position for an easy layup.

  • Let’s go, Grizzlies!

  • @michael_m
    Come out and play!

  • Dubs be gone.

That’s what they get for moving out of Oakland to make mega bucks in S.F.

The curse shall last for eons...

    Whatever 😴

On to the next one. Just glad they made it here this year.

I expect his shot to improve dramatically. See Lonzo Ball recently, Jay Kidd, Rondo, V Carter, etc. A shot always always always improves with time especially for players who actually want to improve it which he does. His understanding of the game is freakish for 21 and he knows range is important for where the game is going. Took Lonzo 3 seasons to fix his shot, Kidd a bit longer but he retired among the NBAs all time 3pt leaders.

Not everyone can improve their shooting—eg, Westbrook.

  • Boom! Y’all just got Dillon Brooks’ed!

That’s technically true but the fact is, Westbrook has improved his shooting in several seasons in his career but he has never been committed to it so he regresses in other seasons because he is a stat chaser. I love Westbrook but everyone knows he’s more concerned with triple double records than winning which is why he has been shipped around.

Ja Morant has already improved his 3 ball by 3 percentage points over last year because he is committed to the work. He’s 21. At this rate, he will be a marksman in next year or the year after.

Don’t take my word for it...ask Steph and Steve. They dared him to shoot the other night and he sent them home with great shooting and all around great play from inside and out. He’s a flat out stud and light years ahead of where Westbrook was at his age in fact there isn’t a GM in the league that would trade Morant for Westbrook. In other words, he’s better than him already.

    It isn’t even close.

Watching the 76ers/Wizards reminded me of another guy who never learned to shoot: Simmons.
