    Update.

Before I made this post yesterday I only had 67 subscribers.

    Today I have 100 subscribers.

    Thank you. 🙏🏽

    Congrats and well deserved!

  • @Edward_Alexander DØVYDAS Is awesome!!! So much talent!! Wish he could play in front of thousands.

@Gravitas I have been subbed for a while now…. Keep up the good work. I agree with what that man that had some dodge super car name or something now I’m all confused with Edward 😂. Anyway does anyone know this. I have YouTube Premium, so a lot of times I will open up a video and lock my phone or have it run in background if I am doing something non music on iPad. If I do that will that still count as watch time for the video???

    Cheers

@Gravitas I was just getting in from work last night when I posted. After I had got settled down, I put on your video above… (Euclidean iii - Soundcheck), grabbed my cans, laid back on the couch, and clicked on the ▶️ button.

It was recorded and mixed on cans so this was perfect.

Wow! This piece is amazing my man! Well done! I’ll definitely be learning a lot from you as I’m still a Launchpad newb for one (I just bought the LPPMK3 a few weeks ago), but also have a lot to learn from your excellent video production techniques. I LOVE how you did the intro credits!!

    Thank you.

Glad you noticed the intro credits, I may actually make it one of the things
that I do for my videos in future. Let’s see how that goes.
In regards to the video techniques? no problem.

Ahh yes, I remember we had a discussion about the LP’s a few weeks ago
and MIDISynth Control when you were still “Intrepolicious”.

Here’s my one tip of the day: (JMO)

DØVYDAS says that he never made it big on YouTube until he posted this video:

In a different video, he talks about this (I’ll have to find it), where he used to upload full sets, like hours long videos, and wasn’t having any luck, until he cut out a short section and posted this:

So, I know they’re saying to upload longer videos, and maybe in the beginning that’s true to some extent, but I really think shorter videos is key, especially if it’s just music/performance pieces. Of course tutorial type stuff and technical videos might be longer. I think the better the bite-sized chunk most peeps’d be apt to click on and commit their time.

    Good advice.

For example, and as amazing as it is, I fell asleep about 20 minutes into your video. (I had just got off from a 13 hour shift - I’ll be watching the rest today!!) So I was thinking of a way where we could post and advertise our videos with a “short version” up front, then have the link to the full length video available for those who want to dive in a little deeper. Just thinking out loud here.. we want the most views, likes, and subs we can get right?

The actual drambo projects, of which there are two for
this piece, took over a month I think to put together.
There are eight instruments on one ipad and
the drum sequencer had to be put onto the other ipad.

The 4 part 16 step drum sequencer has almost a thousand drambo modules.
This week I put together a 32 step version which I know has 1714 modules
not including the utilities section and the stuff I’m using to tweak it
for performances to get the led visual feedback on the LP X.

I will also add it was my birthday last weekend. :)
I filmed and recorded little bits of the day whilst window shopping
with my family with my birthday present which was the little
Lemuro anamorphic lens and the music was my chill out VIP section
at two o’clock in the morning hence the cans.

Edited it the next day and uploaded it.

It’s not actually meant for promo use at all. ;)

    “Intrepolicious”

We had Thafknar and now we have Edward Alexander.
There seems to be a trend. 😏

Yeah I also agree, see my reply to Edward.

    I have no idea.

Now try that with miRack and don't forget to multiply by 8 if you want the same polyphony 😄

Yes he is! And I think we’ve got a lot to learn from his channel, as far as this YouTube thing goes anyway.

I plan on making the 3 1/2 hour drive (I live in NE FL) one of these days to see his setup in person and listen to him perform. This is what I want to do, call it my “retirement plan” (I’ve got another 15 years) maybe not so much a street musician, but I want to be able to do live sets like this, and not just all “live looping” either, but have some pre-rendered material as backing tracks for live improvisation and guitar soloing over. This “one man band” type setup suits me just fine.

. I agree with what that man that had some dodge super car name or something now I’m all >confused with Edward 😂.

    Edward Alexander! lol

Definitely make it a thing! I think It adds a very nice touch!

    Yes, that’s me!

Which I really haven’t had time to revisit yet, and/or wrap my head around using something like that, or if I even need it.

One thousand seven hundred and fourteen modules? 😮 🤯 Holy Drambonians!

(I’d like to see that project in Drambo)

I will also add it was my birthday last weekend. :)

    Happy Birthday! 🎂

It’s really easy to use and it saves on having to use a desktop.
You don’t have to unplug the LP every time you need to create or edit a custom mapping.
When doing I’m doing custom mappings I leave it open in the background like any other app.

You will do once I’ve finished the tweaking.

    Happy Birthday! 🎂

Thank you, as you can tell it was a nice one. 😏
