What angers me is that I was able to play some patterns from the same bank with Pro Tracker on ... AMIGA 500 in 1994, jesus christ!

    There's always SunVox ;)

I'm practically raised up with 'trackers' way back to C64 times (Chris Huelsbecks Sound Monitor for the C64 was the first 'tracker' I got when swapping floppies, after that original Sound Tracker by Karsten Obarski on the A500 etc. etc.).
Nowdays It's Renoise, SunVox and Logic with some other 'trackers' (SidFactory II, Deflemask etc.).

Being able to explode a bank pad-tracks on the timeline in BM3 has been a long-standing requests but after the development lost momentum and I guess it's buried deep down in the never ending to-do list...
(Technically each pad in a bank already has it's own pattern but it's not possible to see them in the arranger).

BM2 still has the ability to stack patterns for one bank and expose them on the time line so you have a visible pattern for each pad that can be duplicated, cloned etc. (Ie. just create a new lanes for the bank). The way BM2 works is what you described in the first post.

    Cheers!

The only flaw nowadays regarding BM2 usage is file management. But it's way sexier than BM3
And regarding sunvox I recommended it other day on other topic in regards to pattern stacking.
Wish I could be a tracker wizard like you
Sorry if I went off-topic

I think the hardest part is finding an all in one solution. I doubt any iOS app will work as a all in one solution because there’s always “something you wish it would do...”, yet it’s missing that feature.

So, here’s my recommendation. You like Grooverider...great. Start with that. Find another app to enhance your Grooverider experience. What I personally did was start with GarageBand, tried a few other groove boxes, then I found other apps to enhance my workflow.
    Maybe this might help...

Also, @DukeWonder is a great Grooverider user. I haven’t tried the app in detail (making a full song) although I do have it and have used it for a bit.

Maybe a Grooverider +AUM workflow would work well. You might also want to add LK or Atom for MIDI sequencing.

Else, Gadget 2 is the closest to the all in one solution.

There are places to call home but even on desktop nothing does it all.

  • Oh no not this again 🤦🏾‍♂️

You can do this in BM3 within the piano roll/midi editor. And you can layer patterns in BM3 within a track in song mode. not scene mode but the regular timeline song mode. It might not look like what your used to at first but it's there.
Can you show what this looks like in FL Studio?

But for desktop, again, if i understand this right.. Reaper does this. You can stack patterns in one track in the song timeline.

That's right, do you understand that it doesn't make sense? The right one, would be (following your video) pattern 1 above pattern 2 and not one in a row to the other, or at least leave the choice to me! On the other hand, if I want to "stack them", I have to create another bank, which BM2 does not do, which I am trying now! Crazy, instead of going forward they went back

So do you think it makes sense to create a single pattern with 16 "stacked" instruments? Look, I'm not talking about fantasy, because in BM2 I can do this!

Yes, AGAIN and AGAIN! Or do I have to say that everything is fantastic and that BM3 is the most beautiful music making app ??? We are talking about € 30 ... not a freeware developed by enthusiasts

Fl Studio (not mobile) makes you create the Patterns (1,2, -3680) and then gives you the possibility to put them in the playlist as you want: one on top of the other or one after the other, and obviously each sound has its mixer channel, FL Studio Mobile does the same thing, obviously in a much more elementary way as it is still quite immature

YES in fact I was also thinking about Korg Gadget, but it is very expensive, to have the complete package are about 180 € !!!

You don't need the complete package to be honest. Start with Gadget 2. It gives you 20 gadgets. The rest of the expansions are nice to have, but not needed.

Gadget 2 LE is a free version that allows you to test it. If you have a Korg Nanokontrol, you can actually unlock 5 of the Gadget 2 gadgets that come with the base version.

I actually bought Gadget 2 and most of the expansions on sale. Check out
    https://appsliced.co/apps?sort=latest&threshold=all&l=nav&cat[]=6011 for information on sales.

That said, I'll say the same thing. One app doesn't have all the solution, especially on iOS. That's one of the reasons that desktop apps support VSTs, and iOS DAWs supports AUv3.

  • wooow! you shouldn't have shown me this site, now I'm going to screw it up

  • korg Gadget 2 39,99 too expensive 😒

Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. My first major purchase was Gadget 2, andI waited a few months until it was on sale. Meanwhile I used Ampify Groovebox, and it’s still my go to.

I did test Gadget 2 LE to see if it was what I was looking for before I bought it.

    Get a job?

    Get a fuck

  • Love the guys who throw open the doors and demand incomprehensibly a situation that should exist for them and why can't they have it?
And I am equally delighted but the goodwill extended as people patiently try to understand what the hell they're talking about and offer suggestions that might help? Might be in the ballpark?
And then the OP gets further enraged! NONONO!
And then we arrive at that most beautiful phrase in the English language:
    Get a fuck

    This has been delightful!

  • Just going to leave this here:

He offended me by saying that I had to go to work and I answered him in kind! I'm not here to take insults! And then it's not that if you don't understand what I'm asking, it means that I have a bad explanation

  • OP, F@ck 2 LE is free if you want to try it first.

    Jokes folks, just jokes.

  • Regarding Gadget, wait a bit. They usually run sales in the middle of the year, so maybe June or July you can snag it 50% off

And about BM3, try contacting Intua about your request. I doubt they would see every post here

We already talked about this. You can have your kick, snare, hi hats, whatever within one pattern within one bank. You can add fx to each individual pad within the bank. You can edit the “pattern within the pattern” of each pad within the bank. You can send each individual pad to a fx send if you set one up. There is no need to create a bank for each drum kit sound. Watch tutorials, read the manual, experiment.

    It’s like this:

    Bank A
    Pattern 1
Kick, snares, hi hats, chords, Nintendo sounds, whatever

    Pattern 2
Kick snares, hi hats, chords, Nintendo sounds with different melody, whatever

    Song arrangement:
    Bank A
    Pattern 1 - Pattern 2 - etc

Is it just that they really really really want visual stacking?
