a lot of design/product decisions are based on this "fluidity" and pleasure of use. Every feature had to earn its pixel real estate :)

I love what I'm reading here. Look forward to the release!

Anything that plays back samples should have a reverse play option.

actually ‘pingpong’ would be my shout :)
( but i would probably use koala or summink to make the samples beforehand.. )

With reverse playback being per step you could do ping pong right in the app. My old hardware Yamaha RX-5 did this. That was my favorite hardware drum machine.

i am definitely FOR reverse ... especially as an IAP on Time itself :)

    😎👍🏼

Looking forward to Thursday either way. 😆

i’ve read the manual ... and me too... but OOPS ... i accidentally bought that Time IAP and tomorrow is now Yadseut!! in fact i am going to let it roll on backwards until all the angry, semi-literate, hair-trigger, kneejerk commentators haven’t joined this forum yet :)
    apologies for that..

@brambos does it feel weird for you to release Hammerhead now with all this awareness and all these expectations compared to when you originally released Hammerhead, I presume with little or no expectations? It’s got to feel strange a little bit to go so far back to go forward..

Yes, but it is also guiding in my design decisions. HH is not about having an expansive feature set, but about deciding on a minimum (and therefore easy to master) set of functionality and making it come together very tightly in a way that is fun and useful.

For me it is very important that the new HH is still be easy and gratifying to explore and use for people who have never touched a drumcomputer before. After all, that was what made the original so popular; not its feature set :)

That's why it's a bit premature to already discuss presence/absence and implementation of features before having actually used it, because a lot of design/product decisions are based on this "fluidity" and pleasure of use. Every feature had to earn its pixel real estate :)

Thank you sir, for really everything you’ve contributed. So far. The Master in his prime.

  • Just read the manual. Automation for all the things, such as pitch, decay, thanks @brambos!

Are imported samples accessible via Files.app? Or are they imported into sandbox? Latter is a bit harder to manage. I have thousands of drum samples and importing into drum apps isn't as fun. :/

  • It’s June 17 here in the Philippines now 😝
    Waiting patiently

    IT NEEDS REVERSE

It’s not even out yet, y’all. I dunno if I could put up with this forum if I was developer. I see its potential for user input, but I also see that privilege abused at every opportunity.

    +1

Exactly. Especially after he had just said "That's why it's a bit premature to already discuss presence/absence and implementation of features before having actually used it,"

    Holy crap peeps.

  • Does it have a calculator watch yet?

  • Looking forward to this but, will it work as a shimmer reverb?

  • Is it out in New Zealand yet!?

  • Manual is available... and it’s a nice read!
    Thanks!

  • Trust in Bram. The features available are meant to be as well as those that aren’t

Let’s all just sit around in a circle passing round daisies, sharing pseudo love and singing about rainbows until it comes out. That way no one can get annoyed. Green tea anyone?
    Post your party pictures here.

  • That's a brilliant implementation of a sequencer. And of course in Bram's signature teal color

  • Maybe midnight or shortly there after… worse case scenario when I wake up tomorrow…

  • The manual is, indeed, worth reading. I am most excited by this feature:

Close Panel - summons a troupe of clowns and dancing elephants

I like being brutally honest and appreciate receiving brutal honesty more than anyone here. I find myself saying “what the hell” when every app gets universally praised in passing; meanwhile, its thread consists only of talk of features it doesn’t have. So spare me the tired sarcastic daisies crap.

It’s like complaining because you heard that the new Frampton album doesn’t have a TalkBox solo before you’re even able to buy and judge the record as a whole. Maybe Peter decided the TalkBox wasn’t so necessary after all, and he’s the executive decision maker. These things are likely more thought out than most think.

“ you can have 6 kik-drums if you like or 6 different sounds.... also sounds and channels are assignable per pattern.... Next, each sound/channel, has a volume, and a reverse function to give you the option to have that sound played backward, and also you can add distortion.... ”

bit of a stretch requesting such an obscure thing?

  • Chance - The trigger probability of each step. Set to full means a 100% chance to be triggered. Lower settings mean the step may be triggered less frequently. Use this to make your patterns different with every pass.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.

I came here for the bizarre frampton references. I was not disappointed.

Well, here is the App Store link (from the manual). Maybe it’s available somewhere in the world..

That’s not teal. Turquoise or aquamarine. Teal is gross. Every other color is noble, except puce and that salmon color they used on every stucco California building in the 80s. They can both f*ck a duck.

    ;)
