Yes, it is safe and recommended to update. We have fixed the problem that was causing the slugfest
Still takes too long to load at times in AUM. Also, I’m having issues with some presets only being a black screen. I can’t figure out what the issue is.
Please ensure that you restore your purchases. You might be missing materials. Can you please give me an example of presets that are not working?
@sinosoidal Is there a repo or community where people make custom materials available?
Same here. The very first preset “60’s Astronaut” is just a blank, black screen no matter what I try. I’m on the beta 1.9.
Edit: I guess it was still downloading in the background? (Despite the download progress bar telling me that it had finished) as now i have an astronaut after restarting VS an hour or so later.
Hmm, for some reason now, the astronaut or this docking station looking thing is on ALL of the new Perplexon presets.
Maybe I should give it a couple more hours? @sinosoidal
Notice the preset I’m on here is “Warehouse” - I’m scrolling through the new presets with the up and down arrows and it’s either astronaut or this thing.
I've noticed the same thing. The new present pack has issues.
Q: I purchased the new present pack for VS on my iPad and when I update the downloads on my iMac, the preset pack says it's installed in the store, but I don't see it available when I scroll through the preset downloads.
The only I know is here and only has 4 materials -> https://patchstorage.com/platform/vs-visual-synthesizer/
Are you running version 1.9.0 on your mac?
We have tried in many devices and we have never had this problem. Very strange. Are you able to preview the videos contained in the pack using the our built in media preview in the resources browser?
It seems like it is having problems loading the video. Whats your device and iOS version?
Yes. I updated to 1.9 on the Mac version.
I’m on an iPad 2021 version 18.3.2
iPad Pro 5th gen 12.9” M1 with the latest iPadOS 18.3.1
One strange thing in my observations, is that it seemed like this new “Raw Reflections” pack appeared in the AppStore version at the same time it hit the beta version. How could it be tested by the beta testers before public release like this?
Edit: And no, to answer your question, I can’t preview the videos in the resource browser either
There has been around 7 beta builds before the release and the problems you are reporting haven’t been described by the testers.
That’s a valid observation
Yes, I know about the builds, but this is the first one I’ve seen with this new pack. I check TestFlight every day.
You’re saying this new pack “Raw Reflections” was here in the beta before yesterday, and I somehow missed it?
It feels like it was made available for purchase before it should have been. Seems rushed.
We now have the ability to publish expansion packs without releasing a new version of the software. This means that it will be less probable to have testers to test packs before they get published.
I cannot consider this pack release as rushed as we have tested in 4 different iPads, iPad 6th Gen, iPad 7th Gen, iPad Pro 2nd Gen, iPad Pro 3rd Gen M1, as well as a couple iPhones, in iOS 17 and 18.
The issues that are being reported are therefore exceptions and we need to try understand why.
FWIW @sinosoidal, it took a while, but the video content finally starting working on all of the new presets. I guess it was still downloading (and subsequently installing in the background).
Now, I am still getting a “crash notification” when I close VS normally, even with the latest version. I’ve sent in a few crash reports on that.
That crash when closing is still a mistery as the crash report does not appear to us in the App Store developer console and we are not able to replicate it in debug.
Any suggestions for downloading and installing the pack on the IMac?
