Der and I keep writing over the default. Would be good if one button could clear all settings and materials leaving a blank canvass. Anyone considered the posibility of importing gifs on the background layer?

  • Can we run File Player in AUM into VS ?

YES! I take my mastered logic MP3 and do just that.

Would be cool to use a S&H triggered by a drum beat to move her arms around.

We have just added support to gif and webp. Do you wanna join the beta and give it a go?

  • Holy shite! Can I get in on the GIF feature beta? I'll send a DM if you're open to it.

Right now, only for background! This is still version 1.0.1!

    Yo, working great. That's dope!

  • @sinosoidal

If there is room on the beta I wouldn't mind joining
especially as I'm going to be using VS a lot for my live rig.

  • Same here pls

    How do we delete presets?

use the trash icon, to the right of the preset name in the patch manager

    One moment...this is my screenshot.

I have two defaults and I would like to get rid of one of them.

I think that's a bug currently affecting the factory bank. Presets should not be able to be saved (or deleted) to the factory bank, they should go into 'Local' bank, hence the lack of trash icon on Factory presets.

It's not a bug. In all our apps, when you open it, the last state is added to the factory. If you close with preset A, next time you open you will have preset A* and preset A. If you then choose B and close, when you open you have B.

Does it make sense now?

Try again with the latest beta. That problem should be fixed. However you need to take into consideration that this is only valid if speed is 0.

So basically it’s a little notepad?
Save the last state to local and there’s another as a backup?
    Cool for experimenting with variations.

    Nice.

I wouldn't call it a "little notepad". I would call it "state restore".

    Cool.

    Forgive my use of language.

I visualise "state restore" like little notepads floating around
saving ideas or another way, like little suitcases with loads of bits of info.
    You know, "just in case"...

  • Well, the gif functionality makes things very interesting. I look forward to whatever future version allows user files on the eight layers. Thinking of orchestrating eight layers from my AUM tracks makes me salivate a little!

    Agreed.

By the way not to long ago I was attempting to draw a tesseract on
an oscilloscope using synths so seeing what @sinosoidal has created
with VS has literally blown my mind.

Sometimes, it's hard to translate tone into text.

    VS is quite something.

  • How quicly does this developer take onboard new suggestions.
This is a demo of the latest beta version of VS Visual Synth.
I normally use Youtube for my video uploads but a lately the quality seems to have dropped on uploads so here is a demo on Vimeo.

  • Is that a background video mostly?

  • edited June 2021

New experiment. Love the addition of gif import on background layer (BETA Version only as yet).
Desperately need video capture inside the app would save so much extra work editing.

The background layer is the main feature but allows for other layers to interact with sound

  • Does it support animated gifs cos mine don’t seem to work

The BETA version supports animated gifs.

It is important that you all realize that VS reacts to both audio and midi. In order to have a video capture that works, audio and midi needs to be received while the capturing is being made.

Of course, that having the ability to record video without having to import to a video editor and then crop a little bit is a tedious amount of work.

I feel your pain and we are working so that feature can be rolled out as soon as possible!

Thanks for your support and feedback!
