Lol there is no sampled trump in the background...everything done with ios apps (thx to the model15 guy for making it free).
But I definitly try to relate on all critics when I got next time in the mood for editing that track.
Sorry I didn't realise it was a Model 15 patch, thanks for the correction 👍
Don’t know …in real only the motherf*cked awesome padsound is a tweaked model15 patch. I think what you mean is Synth one
@Overdosed_Ape
"haraldmussnichtspucken" - This certainly has some interesting things going on here. I would have liked it more if there was structure but then, I don't know, maybe this is how it these things sound. Is this ambient music?
@rottencat
"wander" - The reverb on this makes this really nice for me. I just wish the sounds were spread more; that is, panning applied to really make use of the space the reverb is giving to create even a large presence.

Your video is not available now. Deleted?
Thank you all for the lovely music. I enjoyed them very much.
This is my contribution to the SOTM club in July 2021.
Just me playing over some arps I laid out while learning Logic. The wind noise is from the iM1 on the iPad, added later using Aum. The track was imported to Aum and reverb applied. This is my first track not on Gadget.
Still up for me. Wonder if it’s a country thing? I’m in the U.S..

The improv is beautifully done, and the choice of sounds works really well. The keys have a lovely chill vibe to them.
This is really nice and relaxing without being uninteresting. I’ve been appreciating arps more and more and this is an excellent use.
This is more due as I wrote I recorded it live with AUM and the cpu of my iPad couldn’t handle all plugins proper, so it was hard to make a more structured live performance…that’s why I’m begann to arrange it with Ableton. You can listen to a state of the wip in the thread too. But principally such music never use the big arrangement hammer for creating it’s spirit.
This happened to a previous video of yours as well. I am in South Asia.
Will check the Spotify link to listen ☺
@richardyot
Not sure what plug-in (or plug-ins) you’ve recently added, but the mix on this one does sound super-clear and analog-smooth (as opposed to digital-harsh). The vocals, in particular, ring through solidly. A new favorite.
@orchardman
Again, I’m impressed with the outstanding production values and professional-quality sound in your songs. This one has a nice bouncy feel to it. It’s a worthy liftoff into space rock.
@Sawiton
Really like the opening with the warbling bass synth. Cool juxtaposition between the talking protest voice and the smooth singing voice. It all gels together to make a powerful song.
@Kitusai
It may be short, but it’s wonderfully atmospheric. It’s like an aural haiku. I especially like the variety of sounds and instruments.
@McM
Wow, this one really does seem like the theme song for a whimsical movie or television show. It even has the trademark exclamation point at the end. It’s musically interesting, too. Now you just need to find the light-hearted movie or TV show that’s looking for a ready-made theme song.
@studs1966
Catchy and well-produced tune. The vocals are especially strong.
@Dav
This sounds very good, especially given that it was taken from an 8 track from over 30 years ago. You wisely didn’t overdo the iPad AU effects, which allows the music to shine through. The trumpet sounds clear and crisp, as though it was recorded recently. Bravo!
@Overdosed_Ape
Cool soundscape with a good bottom beat to give it a solid base, a recurring synth-like middle to give it a healthy body, and very satisfying electronic sounds that move in-and-out to spice up the mix. It’s like a soup that bubbles up as it slowly cooks.
@rottencat
I really like the open quality of this song. It feels melodic and musical without excluding experimentation. The title is apt, because it seems to have a purpose in mind, while being receptive to the chance unpredictability of its surroundings. Like a wandering around in the woods.
@DukeWonder
Love the vocoder-like opening. The body of the song has a calm feel with a mix of musical elements that keeps it interesting throughout.
@spyrogaia
I’ve really liked the epic pieces that you’ve been doing. This one seems more elegiac than monumental. And in its own way, it’s just as powerful.
@DavidEnglish Do you know how pleasing it can be when someone gets what you’re trying to do?
That’s how I feel right now.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments.
Thanks @DavidEnglish. Very thoughtful observations of everyone’s song.
I’m surprised how well the sure sm57 mics recorded the piano and trumpet back then. They were the first 2 mics I ever bought.
Dav
Late with most of my comments this month;
@DavidEnglish a nice evolving piece with some lovely cinematic pad sounds. Maybe a bit long for this forum.
@Sawiton great song with a real mixture of sounds. I loved the wobble bass and the acoustic guitar. I would maybe turn up the vocal sample in the chorus a bit to really get the message home. Great job.
@Kitusai as quirky as ever. You could perhaps use this piece as a filler between tracks on an album.
@McM nice short orchestral piece. I could see being used over the opening scene of a film. Would be nice to see how it develops
@studs1966 very professional sounding dance music. Great vocal
@Dav nice Latin feel with a great trumpet sound
@overdosed_ape not really my sort of thing so it’s difficult to comment. Seemed a bit repetitive and long. Needed something to break up the rhythm.
@rottencat some interesting sounds and rhythms. A bit repetitive in parts but a nice job.
@DukeWonder - nicely produced track with some interesting sounds and textures. I liked the arps.
@spyrogaia nice atmospheric track. I liked the chilled electric piano sound over the arps.
@richardyot Excellent cru. A very happy song, with sun and champagne’s bubbles, bravo !
@orchardman A very solid good rock. I especially appreciate the band’s live feel in it. The guitars and vocal are excellent with good breaks.
@DavidEnglish A long spaceship peaceful travel: a few peace feathers in a twisted world!
@Sawiton what a blockbuster! Bess Smith’s voice is fabulous! Unfourtunatly I don’t understand the spoken words but i like the overall atmosphere of your track.
@McM Excellent! Funny, happy and short: like a comedy soundtrack. Bravo !
@studs1966 une production impeccable, perfectly calibrated for a dancefloor hit?
@Dav a perfect music for sun and seaside! C’est l’été ! Smile!
@Overdosed_Ape a good idea (basis?) for a repetitive and lancinant music. You have to find a way to bring some muscle to your ipad!
@Rottencat the sound is magnific serving a strange and captivating atmosphere
@DukeWonder after the flying intro, the beat beginning at around 0’54 is very good. Maybe you could have shortened the track a bit.
@spyrogaia Excellent flying travel. Thanks to share your stars.
@DavidEnglish What beautiful atmosphere you created! I’ve never been to Tokyo but I was taken on a walk through the forest, hearing small creatures just out of sight and always the shadows, sometimes ominous, sometimes not. I like the workflow you described and found your choice of DAW interesting.
@Kitusai “Thank god it’s short.” No way!! Haha! I loved the textures of the different sounds and the seeming randomness of the rhythms. It would make a great intro to something epic!
@McM Very professional sounding. A nice variety of voices across the aural spectrum and the all fit well in the mix. A tad bit of variation in dynamics on the main melodic voice might help with expressiveness. I can definitely hear this backing a scene in a movie.
@studs1966 Not my go to genre for listening. I really liked everything about this song except the kick and the kick made it seem too long. Loved the vocals! And when the drums dropped out, the rest of the music was beautiful! A very polished track. I’d love to hear a remix.
@Dav This is a lovely song! Very nice sequencing and easy flow to the song. One thing I noticed was that some of the drum and percussion sounds seemed unnaturally left or right on the stereo spectrum. Maybe on purpose, maybe just me. The trumpet sounds superb!
@Overdosed_Ape Great jam-to-track effort! As a budding jammer I can imagine you having a good time putting this together. Enough variation in the drums and the little bits of sounds that seemed more teasing than anything else made six minutes of listening delightful!
@rottencat I really liked this track. The rhythm part is complex without being overwhelming and the duet of the bell-like tone and the more melodic tone is lovely and almost organic sounding. The bell tone does seem to overwhelm the mix at points. I forgot how cool the rhythm was until the very end. Great track!
@DukeWonder Quality track! I admit I was surprised by what followed the intro and also surprised when the 80’s style synth kicked in. Not in a bad way at all I just wasn’t expecting those elements. You made them mesh like you know what you’re doing!
@DavidEnglish @orchardman @Kitusai @Sawiton thank you all for the feedback. I’m pretty proud of this one. It was difficult to get back to producing after the crazy start this year had. I’m glad to hear that the sound design and quality of the mix were noted because those are the elements I try to focus on the most.
@Kitusai HeHe that’s what I think all the time… @DavidEnglish @Sawiton I really get high on your comments and it gets me motivated for posting next month again and an update on this month track 😺
