This looks cool. Love that it outputs in tab. I bet those wav riffs would be good for chopping up in Segments, Egoist, etc
To get a realistic sounding guitar the app has got a huge number of samples (each note on the guitar with different articulations, tunings, tones, etc.). That is where most of the space is used, if it just output midi it would be much smaller.

First impressions are really good. I just want to use it as a random riff generator for practice. I had a few crashes at the start. They seem to have gone away but at first trying to export or favorite a riff crashed the app. Only time will tell if it generates truly diverse material but first impressions are good.
I thought the same but just assumed it was the sample data to play back riffs.

Just pulled the trigger and I must say I am very impressed. The first few riffs have had my smiling and I can see that this could definitely have some great uses in my work flow.
2 requests though. Audiobus connectivity would be awesome and also a few more categories. Black metal for example. Niche I know!

I know it’s far too early to say but could this become a kind of guitar version of the awesome piano motifs?! That would be the dream!

Bought, and it brought a smile to my face as soon as I heard it. Then over and over again as I went through the various settings. It's hard to think of another music app that's both as simple to use and generates usable content as quickly.
Sure there's gaps in what it can currently do - personally I'd like support for more scales added - but a definite winner in smiles per dollar spent. I can easily see me using this over and over again as it currently stands, and both chopping up the riffs and manipulating the MIDI once I start experimenting further with what I can do with it.

I've got a black metal preset ready so that should be available in the next update.
I going to be adding proper names to favourites to make them easier to organise. I'm also going to add a little preview button where you can quickly listen to the riff from the favourites screen without having to fully load it.
Absolutely. But to me, anything that adds to the diversity and authenticity of output content is paramount here over anything else. Forget connectivity. There are other tools for that. Please focus on the production of an app that outputs diverse content that is possible to have come from the minds and fingers of many guitarists and styles.

I'll be added lots more scales soon as it is relatively easy to expand the list.
Would be great to have a tempo slider/dial/whatever next to the tab to help with picking up each riff.

Well just discovered this app…. I have to say it’s amazing. I hope that this grows like Piano Motifs! Great work so far!!! I have a bunch of suggestions but just one for now…. Is there a way to just hit the create button and not have it stop and hit play again? (I know I am lazy). Off to leave 5 stars.

Great app, it generates some really good/usefull riffs and the midi export makes it easy to use them in apps like LK and Atom2 😊
@jon_bell Congratulation for a fantastic app. I have detected a little bug when exporting à MIDI file. The chords are not correctly retranscrites. Only one note is available instead of poly-notes
I went ahead and bought this since metal is my favorite genre and this is one of the few apps that pays attention to that kind of music. Really enjoying it so far. Just for fun I exported a riff into Helium added Rock Drum Machine and a couple of instances of AudioLayer for guitar sounds. The main riff is Riffler, the arpeggios were created using Riffer, Aphelian and ScaleBud.There’s a slightly more detailed description in the YouTube comment if anyone is interested in how it was created.
I like the app too so thanks for that. Midi export naming the tempo and note would be cool. If the notes could be marked as they play through would be even greater. The export seem a bit off as mentioned in other posts, power chords are not included.
I've had quite a few suggestions for UI improvements that I'll be adding. Will definitely add adjustable tempo to the main screen.

The things this produces are totally awesome. Shame I can’t buy it for support (principle, I gotta come up with my own stuff), but very impressive. Way better than I expected.

Yeah, you got me. But I’ve spent a boatload this month. I probably will actually buy it somewhere down the line, but not at the moment. Gotta cut myself off for a couple weeks.
