Oooh it's a bit balearic! xx

I had to look up “balearic”…

Being that you didn’t capitalize the B, I initially thought it sounded like some kind of stomach disease! 🤣

Now, I was hoping that you’re referring to the Balearic Islands off of the coast of Spain. In that case, I found a bunch of Balearic music on YouTube, and the good old Google search for a definition to a word confirms:

So thank you very much for the compliment, and for teaching me something! ❤️🙏

Tagging everyone that commented. Please let me know what you guys think of the new drums! I think they still need a little tweaking, but hopefully they’re headed in the right direction now with Acoustic drum sounds and a lot of “humanizations” to make them feel more organic.

The GeoSWAM tenor sax part was a last minute decision to add right before I uploaded last night before going to bed. I actually surprised myself that I was able to easily use the iPadOS “Photos” app in SlideOver mode on top of a fresh GeoAUM session! Maybe the Sax will stick, or maybe I’ll swap it out for a guitar. Don’t know yet…

    Thanks again ❤️🙏

Yeaaaahhh it’s like a sunset over the Mediterranean! Check out the band Gaussian curve for thermally mellow ambient side of this music. Also the Claremont 56 label! I’m definitely getting those vibes!

    Also new drums sound better

Updated with new and improved drums! Please see video description for details.

Also tightened up the GeoSWAM Cello riff and since @McD mentioned it, I added a little surprise.

Various other little tweaks and adjustments.

Very nice, Ed. This is quite the sophisticated tune.

Thanks! It wouldn’t be what it is without yours and the other amazing forum member’s feedback, and constructive criticism!

  • Very nice, preferred the drums this time and I think the bass stood out more this time which I enjoyed. To be honest @Edward_Alexander , both versions are pretty darned good.

Thank you Tony! I appreciate you!

  • Yes, the drums are a better fit now, IMO. Don’t think you needed to add the sax at the beginning. Very beautiful at 2:25.👍👍

    Do try a drumless track.

Thank you so much Mike! 🙏

Wheeew, now that I have the @LinearLineman seal of approval, I can finally move on! 🤣

J/k! I enjoyed working on this piece. May even ditch the sax and add some guitar.
