Hi gang, I want to ask you, what foot-switches would your recomend to make the most out of Loopy Pro? Maybe there are some better ones, qualitywise and functionwise. Would bluetooth be ok for latency?
Bluetooth midi is very low latency.

iRig Blueboard is working out great so far. Michael has even done some kind of voodoo that makes the switches light up when they should, such as when a track is actively looping. Pretty cool.
I have one more question in me. I've always had Ableton Live with a launchpad as "the" final setup in mind,,
It's just a lot to change everything for a Mac + Launchpad to grind my head against new dropdown menus etc.
+ Every hipster from here to Saskatchewan music technology school uses a MacBook. naturally I want it.
Jokes aside, let me ask if Loopy Pro can accomplish the workflow I was thinking about?
The layout is kind of the same in Korg Gadget and Ableton. I want this setup to finish songs (boy, wouldn't that be great?)
-You place clips below (or after) each other on a timeline and use the Launchpad to trigger what part of the song you want to either Record, Redo, Overdub or listen too
-The ability to record a clip over and over again without stopping, and choosing only the best take afterward.
-The ability to choose the length of the individual parts/loops/clips, and change it as you build your song. Not to necessarily double what's in the clip, only that it would be quick and handy to change the length and do a Redo etc. Just had to ask.
That's pretty much it.
I don't know if I'd want it, but maybe it would be nice to be able to overdub while the whole song is playing through, not just while choosing specific parts of the song.
@_smund : it isn’t known for sure exactly what features will be in 1.0. I think you will have to wait to know for sure.
How is the release date looking? Is it still around late November, or is it back a bit yet?
No new info about a release date has been mentioned in the beta group. It's not appropriate for beta testers to speculate, IMO.
Yes, I think that’s probably true. I suppose it should really be coming from and directed @Michael himself if at all. It’s just that Michael previously stated that he was looking at having a late November release, and he was also saying that squashing the bugs was a relatively pain free and speedy operation, so I was wondering if that release projection date was more or less the same? I know you are busy Michael…… any chance of a quick word on this for the people?
Yeah, late Nov was a tentative hoped-for target, but it was not widely announced for a reason
"Soon" is all I'm going for now – but not before it's ready and good to go.
I think thats very wise Michael, no need to rush it out before it's ready
...but with that said, I'm working about 15 hours a day, every day, right now, so that should give you an idea of what I'm hoping for 😄
Whaaat 😱 That’s too much. We need a healthy Michael and your kid, too. I don’t want to teach you lessons but IMHO no release date is worth ruining your health.
Michael seems to be a fairly astute and intelligent individual and I’m sure he is able to weigh up the pro’s and cons of his workload in relation to his work/life balance for himself. It’s not like he’s mining for coal or has been having to work and live miles away from home. Some people have to work these hours every week.
He probably wants to get it out as soon as possible in order that Christmas is completely free for his family…. commendable I would say - I don’t think we should be trying to interfere with his ambitions.
Maybe if you could increase it to say 16-17 hours a day Michael, that would be a better strategy all round 😀
Maybe the pressure in the forum, the recurring questions about the release date actually might interfere with his decision - did you think about that? Anyway, science is clear about that
“Working 55 hours or more per week is a serious health hazard,”

Your massive effort on this app has not gone unnoticed @Michael !! Been trying to spread the word as much as possible (even to my mom, who has no idea what im talking about). You are going to make it to the finish line! Take care of yourself too though along the way!
I’m gonna get my mom into loopy aswell!. That’s after she learns how to operate the tv remote, send pictures in WhatsApp and be able to open Google maps 😂

I thought those were already on the post-1.0 feature development list.
I was kidding around man. Get that index finger into your collar and give it a waggle 😅😅👍
✌️
Just a quick stop in to see if this is gonna be released this calendar year? Any word?
It’s almost like the guy who is developing the app actually gave his best estimate within the last 24 hours… if you just read a little bit!
I think we could start a competition among those who’s beta testing. Get busy and create something then post it. It’s gonna be useful because you get busy, you may come across bugs and you entertain people who just can’t stop asking for more because flippin capitalism infected them let’s do weekly competitions until release, first prize is Loopy Pro for free every week. Or is there already one? @Michael ? or a single huge event where you choose your top 5 entries when you have time after release
Believe me, everyone in the beta team has been getting their magnifying glasses out to find bugs. Michael has been super-busy squatting them, and also coming up with great ways to improve the overall user experience of the app based on feedback.
You're just making the wait worse
Sorry! It'll be worth the wait.
Hospitalisation...?
Be careful and look after yourself. No app is worth ill health.
I know, but during testing we are also creating, some videos could go to the daily screen capture jams topic and the best ones could get Loopy Pro codes upon release
