  • @Michael, I can only imagine how this moment must feel. My older son just recently moved out and I imagine it's something like that. :) It seems like a lifetime ago that I was looking forward to the next Loopy Masterpiece dev diary.

    Congratulations!

  • Will this handle MIDI routing between AU3s so that I could use Atom, or Octasequence in it?

  • Don’t feed the troll. It’s just a boring dude pretending to be funny.

  • Absolutely stunning…

  • Exciting times indeed. 🔥💥🔥
Don’t worry about the price complainers. They clearly don’t get what’s going on here.

Omg 😳 This is stunning! Tell me I can use this as vocal tracking DAW for completely making a beat start to finish and a song with vocal performances @Michael

Also will there be keyboard shortcuts/trackpad mouse support?

  • Wait until y'all see how well the loop capture functionality works. I know many will just get everything sync'd up to the grid, but for true live loopers who start from scratch the first loop capture in Loopy Pro (even offers different takes on the algorithm you can choose from) is INSANE. I can't wait to see what creative live loopers do with the initial loop capture. It just works. The retrospective looper is also so handy. Anyway, can't wait for the beta to open up.

  • If I were a Company and had the possibility to get 1-2 Million€ somehow, I would offer Michael the money and just say: "Just do what you're doing in our name, please..."

Hehe. No, still working on that one, but it’ll likely be more than $30US, less than $50. Something like that. Pre Xmas release, ideally pre Black Friday.

50$ introprice on black friday, yes, but then you should raise the price to 100-200$, that's what it is worth at least, but you just seem to be a very very nice guy and not so interested in earning a furtune...

  • Very excited for this!

  • 50 bucks for something like this would be absolutely fair, no question about it. And much better that than making it a subscription.

  • This is the best news ever!!!

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • 🤑🤑✊🏾👏🏾 this will be epic!

    Will this have ALS export?

Agreed. Based on posts here and elsewhere I think people would be willing to pay more for a one-time payment if a subscription is the alternative.

  • @Michael - Fantastic that everything is freely configurable. What I would like to know is how it communicates with the outside world. Can it connect to an Ableton link and send midiclock to external devices?

  • Congrats Michael! It looks amazing!

I’ve been holding of buying a new h/w looper for this release. The h/w one would be over £200 and doesn’t have anywhere near the functionality shown here. $50 sounds like a bargain.

As a committed long-time hardware looper, and one who just bought a new $400 looping pedal over the summer, I'm also super-psyched for this. I already have everything I need to get both audio and MIDI signals into the iPad, and messing around with MIDI control of looping hardware with a Morningstar MC8 has gone a long way towards overcoming my previous resistance to using software loopers. The interface between the player and the looper is very important to me, and Loopy Pro's ability to (within broad limits) design your own interface is pretty exciting.

Oh and you have an amazing on-screen presence @Michael

😅 And I was lip-syncing the whole time!

We need an iOS Dev Lip-Sync Battle now!

I honestly have no clue why people 'kill' apps, this as one app very seldom completely replaces another...

Per say Drambo is not a 'looper' so it will more than likely serve as a superior sound source to Loopy Pro :sunglasses:

Both Drambo & LoopyPro will compete in the 'AUv3 Host' category against the likes of AUM and ApeMatrix and for some BM3 and Cubasis etc.

I personally have a hard time seeing people use AudioBus after LoopyPro arrives...
...that will be an interesting challenge for @Michael to motivate why the AudioBus still has exists after LoopyPro arrives

My guess is that LoopyPro will be released before the next major Drambo update (not 100% on this) so things look very interesting indeed!

Until Loopy pro or Drambo has IAA support or Samplr gets AUV3 treatment Audiobus will keep being my host. Despite the fact that Loopy pro has so many features I still cannot directly replace loopy hd with it.

It will feel more like a birth for the first month or two, with bugs and feature requests. 50/50 coding/interface with users.

On the other hand, I can’t wait to get this on desktop!

It seems like it should work to just replace Loopy HD with Loopy Pro in your audiobus setup. But yeah, still depend on Audiobus even though Loopy Pro could be a host.

  • $50 is more than fair

  • Wow.. Mind Blowing!!
    Congrats @Michael 👏🏼

edited post to not inflame by mentioning other apps and because on re-reading I sounded pretty douchey. What I really wanted to convey was Loopy Pro looks incredibly useful and really pretty to look at. I am SO hopeful that it will pay off for the Michael and am ready to purchase at whatever the price is when it is available!

  • Looks quite stunning, actually. Hope this is a huge success, sir!

I’ve tried and failed so far.

Input 1 with associated effects is routed to any loop but only some of the loops then go into Turnado.

I know folks have been asking for an AUv3 version of MIDI Designer Pro, TouchOSC, Sonic Logic, or Lemur. Will we be able to do this with Loopy Pro’s widgets and hosting inside another host such as AUM?

Edit: or even better, use one “screenful” of Loopy Pro to set up loops and be the equivalent of AUM, and then swipe to a second screenful that is just widgets to control everything on the first page?

  • Even using half of the features that are in this, it would already be the best looper out there, I’ve been dreaming of this since I bought my first boss RC20 XL. I am so excited to try it, and I’ll buy it even if it’s a 100 quid
