Well that was quite a month.
Thanks to everyone who stopped in or followed along my Chiptune adventure in October. It was an interesting experience. Frustrating at times but I’m glad I did it.
My biggest takeaways:
Though the sounds may be simple, Chiptune can be just as complex as any other genre.
I’ve rediscovered some amazing apps that have been on the back burner for way too long. (Poison-202, Nlog Synth, to name a few)
Garageband continues to provide amazing value and surprising flexibility in creating sounds.
If anyone is interested, here is a link to the Garageband template I used for a lot of my chiptune jams during the month. I was able to take some of the stock patches and tweak them into very usable chiptune presets. Hope it helps you create your own awesome tunes.
