Very interesting and kind of you to share such a fulsome answer. Certainly motivated me to get amongst it. I probably wouldn't even be thinking about it if it wasn't for Koala which has got be back into waves/samples etc of late. This seem to have a LOT to recommend it. Thanks again!
1.2.3v - It still crashes when importing from File on 13.7 and iPadPro 1st gen
Hi, did you email to the developer? He may fix it.
Yes, I did in the last three updates
Hi, Wavebox updated today with Save session.
We can now save all our edits, markers, new wave files as a wbf file and reopen it later.
Sessions can be overriden as well as merged.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the latest update fixes this bug. Thanks Wavebox
Glad to know
Nice update. Ties in to Dawnbeat
This new version doesnt Let youuse AUv3 for free anymore. It was my most used feature and I feel a little bad this was a downgrade on that regard
I really like this and I think I’ll pay but I feel a little cheated ngl
Wavebox is my favourite Mac sample editor.
You sure? I just loaded a Bleass AUv3 in the free app without any problem.
On the latest version? I’m sure. You can load them, but the apply button now has a shopping cart
don’t get me wrong, I really like wavebox, its an excellent product that I never understood how it was free, but the update notes didn’t mention that I would lose the ability to apply AUv3 so I’m a little salty 🤣
Yeah. Removing functions solely to make them paid is not particularly nice.
My error.
I was flicking through the Bleass presets but I didn't see the shopping cart icon down below.
That's not good - taking a major feature out and not telling users in the update description.
I think the app is worth $5 for the new features and to keep the app development going. I’ll never understand the drama around $5 or so for the capabilities such an app has. I don’t care how it’s presented if the app is useful, which this one is, and it’s not like I can’t afford it. Where’s the “support the devs” crowd?
There is no drama, the app is well worth $5.
There is a fact tho, that a feature that was free is now paid and there was no indication of it on the update description.
If you haven’t, you might write to the developer and suggest that he add a note about this in the App Store text.
is @telegato the dev?
I don't have this but if dawnbeat is anything to go by, the free version is insanely generous. That said, +1 for mentioning in update notes that auv3 support is no longer there in the free version. Definitely worth contacting the dev to ask for that to be added to the appstore description.
I will pay 10 if i gets auv3 on the iphone
Edit.
OMG it HAS auv3 on iphone 😱
Instabuy
I'm loving and using this already. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Brilliant.
wavebox is AMAZING, I'm glad that this impasse from the dev ended in more people knowing about it, but I'm still salty
Drink plenty of fluids! 🍺👍🏼
It has nothing to do with $5.
It is about a developer changing the features of an app and not letting the users know in advance before they upgrade.
This is especially an issue on iOS where users can't revert to earlier versions.
If the developer removes or changes a feature you rely on you are screwed.
I'm finding it difficult to generate empathy with anyone's umbrage here. I bought the Smart Effects Pack when it was just on sale for $.99 ... as a token of goodwill towards the dev ... and I was rewarded by being grandfathered into all the newly paywalled features.
He could have created different iAPs and really screwed over everyone.
You don't get that it is not about the $$$s...it is about changing the features of an app and not letting the users know in advance before they upgrade?
Most likely an unintentional move, but - if so - a sloppy one
