I don’t think you even need to buy imazing for the backups I’m able to restore stuff and backup and never paid for the unlock

If one hasn't already downloded the ipa, I don't know how you would do it without iMazing. Can you explain? This app does not show up in your purchased apps list. So, there is no way to restore it.

I still use imazing for it, when I plug my phone in and go to the apps list I think it makes a backup then and then when I want to restore apps I just go to that page and can download them. I think I also use ifunbox cos I can backup stuff there too. Honestly it’s been a minute so maybe I’m forgetting some steps but I haven’t ever bought either program

  • Temporal impermanence is such a bitch sometimes.

  • @Fingolfinzzz i managed to backup the ipas with the free version of imazing indeed. Thanks, mate

Even if I can't reinstall them using it, I can do it with ifunbox...

Now I just noticed none of the lists/spreasheets online lists if apps are available or not. Thinking about making an entry in the wiki regarding this. On my side I backed up Aphelian, Oscilab, Wavemapper, Minimapper (wolfgang apps), Rebirth, Rhythm Studio. Next is Boom 808 and Alchemy

  • @senhorlampada yep I think that may be the step I was forgetting was that I restore them in ifunbox cos I was able to get my Wolfgang apps back on when they disappeared

This comment has made me think how many of my apps are truly essential - frankly, only a handful! But yeah, would be sad to see Aphelian disappear for sure.

https://aphelian.io/ has an old Tim Webb Let’s Play YouTube…
This thread sends me back to Aphelion, which happens often on the forum

(I’m fortunate to have saved the app on the device, like many other deprecated [?] apps. The Tim Webb video makes me realize how deep the software is, kind of a masterpiece of its type.)

this sort of happenstance w/Aphelion Labs has lately made me very reluctant to update to latest iOS, as I imagine a lot of these vapor ware apps can’t keep up

If the developer has stopped development, I wonder if he would be willing to sell the code base to another developer who would be willing to re-release? I’d be willing to pay again if I was getting active development for these two apps.

Has that ever actually happened though? I’m sure I’ve read that kind of wishfulness (entirely understandable btw) more than once on AB forum.

Happened with Amidio (that developed Futulele, OMGuitar, Mint.IO, Seline and others)
If i'm not wrong two different developers got their stuff

Don't know, but I'd rather throw it out there than not, just in case it's possible.

Yes I believe you are correct, others I think exist WayOutWare, Wolfgang Palm, although continued iOS development is doubtful.

They are both back in the Australian store. I guess they fixed the glitch.

  • Glad to hear it’s back. For the longest time I just used the AUv3 of Aphelian in AUM and thought it’s alright but a bit meh and barebones ... until I opened up the standalone version :D
Stupid, I know but this is what happens with a gazillion of apps at your disposal and to little time to give them all some serious play time.

  • Both back in the US store, but both show a price rather than a download or open option, as if I don’t own them.

  • Mine says OPEN on the US App Store. Oscilab also.

Mine both have the OPEN option.

  • I know I owned Oscilab but it’s showing a price… 😑

Check from your list of purchases in the App Store!

I did. It doesn’t show up in the App Store list but it does show up under my account on my device. I emailed the dev.

Separate from the purchased apps list, you can see receipts for everything you have ever purchased though finding it is convoluted.

Actually it’s not convoluted at all. See attached pic. Just tap on the account block (blue box). That’s what I’m referring to when I say “ under my account on my device”. That’s where I found the purchase but it’s not in my purchased apps on the App Store. I wonder if this is related to the IK issue?

  • @anickt : sorry, I totally misinterpreted your message. Didn't realize that you had found the receipt.

I think this all the time. Lol. But I intentionally use something I haven’t touched for awhile to mix things up, create something different.

Sorry for my convoluted message! 🤪

  • WHAT A BLESSED RELIEF

  • Mine says open. Sweet. I love both their apps.

@anickt I got a similar problem. The app shows in my App Store history, but nowhere else. It shows a price as does Oscilab. I chatted with Apple support. It is probably due to the fact that I’ve got a iPad Pro M1 (since a week). I can see and download Aphelian without showing a price on my wife’s iPad (6th gen.). They thought there maybe was a special edition for the M1 but then because of some mistake it was not recognized that I already bought the app. They advised me to contact the dev. I mailed the dev and am waiting…

This is in the Settings App.

Please try the App Store App, then tap your account icon, then "Purchased", / "My Purchases", tap "All" and then search for the name.

With this method, I can always see all Apps that are still "somehow" in the Store.

I know about and have done all of this as I said previously. I have contacted the dev.
