  • Do we have any word if it will drop for iPadOS on the 18th as well?

  • Awesome, can’t wait for this to come to iOS.

  • No word / usually it takes some time for it to port over. We’re still waiting on Hive to come over

  • Timeless and Saturn were released for iPadOS soon after (2 weeks - 1 month) their desktop versions. @iOSTRAKON Hive? Are you referring to U-He's synth?

  • I might’ve misnamed the plug-in - stand by

  • @iOSTRAKON: Nest, by Sugar Bytes?

  • That’s it, thanks @celtic_elk

  • @iOSTRAKON got it! Yeah, with Sugar Bytes we never know

  • Fabfilter responded on facebook that the iOS version is dropping at the same time.

  • Should be around $24.99 then considering the pricing of Timeless 3 and Saturn 2.

  • I'll be buying this on launch I bet, even though won't support iPhone sadly :(

I just can't imagine ever being able to tweak any control on any FF app on a such little screen as an iPhone 😵‍💫🤓😳

It's true :P. I think I could manage on my iPhone XS but it definitely won't be ideal. I'd put up with it though because fabfilter's analog algorithms are the best on iOS.

I know this is why they don't make it universal. But its disappointing that I can't move my Drambo projects back and forth between my iPhone and iPad. Or use my old iPhone as a sick fabfilter pedal.

Technically they could easily just "make" it universal but then people would buy the apps thinking they'd work well on iPhone and get angry.

Even on large iPads, the current FF UI is a glorious example of form over function. A remarkable waste of screen real estate, some parts almost hopeless to operate without a pencil. But beautiful.

  • I bought Saturn 2 and never use it, shoot me.

Hah. What warming/distortion do you prefer? Or are you just not using them period?

  • I hope Fabfilter have plan to release "Fabfilter FX Bundle" in the AppStore as well. After release of Volcano 3 on iOS there will be all the necessary plugins on iOS to be able to release the "Fabfilter FX bundle" analogue to the Desktop.

  • Yes, but the Fabfilter bundles are no deal if you have any of the individual apps in the bundle, correct? I seem to recall that owning ProQ3 does't reduce the price of the Pro Bundle.

That's very true. Even with the pencil, it's sometimes challenging to turn the knob or select an option. The one that makes me "fight" the most is Timeless 3, but I just couldn't live without it... it's my "all the time / always on pluging of love 🥰🤪"... so I tell my self that I have to "deserve" the results I'm getting out of it 🤓🙈.

Ok, but transfer the license to me first... ;)

Oh, no, I use a ton of them. Nembrini psa1000 and fuzz, ChowTape, Beef, MixBox, barricade, RE-1 tape and more… I really don’t have a reason. I guess I can’t tell it sounds a lot better than the other stuff and the other stuff looks simpler and to the point. But I’m gonna use it more!. I know it’s got all the transient stuff, bands and so on… I guess in a naive and stupid way I relate distortion to pedals with a few knobs.
If I had to choose one “must have” plugin it’d be Pro-Q3 and I really like the FF interfaces but I haven’t found true love in Saturn yet.

I know what you mean. All those moving parts, and there's a whole section of the interface at the bottom that I just don't understand at all. But for subtle, evolving saturation and isolating frequencies that get the grit? It's really pretty amazing. It took me some time.

It should do, unless you bought it in the other bundle to upgrade from Pro Q2, in which case it won’t.

  • I’m definitely going to buy it. I love the support they are bringing to the platform

I totally stand corrected. Thanks, @richardyot
Owning only the ProQ3, to complete my bundle is $98. The full bundle is $119. I am hopeful for the FX bundle now.

  • I am so unbelievably excited for this 😭

  • Whoa, tomorrow eh?

  • I have UVI Shade on the desktop. This will do very nicely on iOS, ta very muchly!

With any luck there will be a Black Friday sale and the bundle will be a bit cheaper. I think I got it last year for $78

Saturn has all the presets you could ever want. You don't ever need to turn a dial. I like the Saturn guitar amps better than the Nembrini amps.
