So far it has been working like a charm! Setup is done in no time, very quick and easy to record :)

I’ve heard the AUM beta and 4->4 inputs being mentioned, I was curious why that is not supported in AUM currently? Does it work differently with midi au vs instrument au?

Hope I’ll get more time to test today! So far I’ve tried mostly in AUM, with input from Cykle, Polybeat and Fugue Machine. Multiple instances also worked. And I did load it into Loopy Pro, no crashes but haven’t had the chance to try much yet.

Do you already have documentation that you’re working on or is that still on the to do list? (Didn’t see it when I checked github yesterday but I could’ve overlooked it 😅) Do you need any help with that?

  • @GeertBevin aside from the cost, what's the key differences between MIDI Tape Recorder and Atom 2?

I'm still exploring how to use my new LinnStrument (thanks for that too, by the way!), and haven't really encountered limitations with Atom 2 yet. Happy to believe they exist, I just don't know what they are yet

Me too! But I can only do so much by myself for free in my spare time.

That is only supported in the AUM 1.4.0 beta, it's the only host that does the multiple MIDI input cable feature.

Yes, I'm working on the docs, I'll have a version ready today.

Thanks so much for the help testing!

Well that's an unexpected holiday gift, approved by Apple in one day without any back and forth. I haven't even finished writing the documentation yet! :)

Guess, I'll be writing a lot of text today

  • I’m late to this. Possible to get in on the beta still or just wait until it releases (appears imminent)?

    Yee hawwww

  • Can’t wait 🔥

  • I dunno why I’m still excited for this to be official since I already have the release candidate. But I just really, really like it and want that orange button to go away.

    The manual is done!

    http://uwyn.com/mtr/docs/

The app is now released and propagating through the App Store, which could take anything from 30 minutes to 24 hours.

  • Just got it in US. thanks so much for this!

And as often is the case, up until now there was no plugins with multiple MIDI inputs (as far as I know) so there was no use case for implementing it :)
