    Talking of Bladerunner, Bladerunner 2049 is currently free to view on BBC iPlayer, for those who have access to that. The cinematography is so stunning, along with Hans Zimmer's Vangelesque sweeping pads it's an artwork to be immersed in, not just a film to watch.

    Side note… Regarding CS-80 emulation in hardware, I mentioned the Deckard’s Dream - there is also the Deckard’s Voice eurorack module (both from Black Corporation).     @dokwok2 ah you’re quite right, should’ve searched sorry. Have since found threads from 2015 and 2017. Many new iOS synths since then of course (as there will be again by the time of the 2025 Blade Runner thread ;) )

    Well, I found @craftycurate’s Continua patches inspirational. So I took them for a spin along with some of the recent additions to the iOS armoury, namely the free Audiokit reverb, and the rather wonderful new Animoog, for a bit of sonic therapy.

    I am sleeping very badly these days.

    I have to agree with this. Whenever I touch Model 15 I get an instant Bladerunner feeling. These verby synth brass sounds :)

    "Wonderful Christmas Time" still sucks. Heard it at the grocery a couple weeks ago. A misuse of a very amazing synth.

    Anyways, I have a "dumb person" question. Do any of the romplers I have have a CS80-sounding preset? I'm talking in Pure Synth Platinum 2, Taqs.im World Piano (aka World Synth), Taqs.im Pro Synth, Module Pro, etc? Not really looking at Syntronik at the moment. I also have the Alteza, Crystalline, and Bleass Shimmer reverbs as well as Pitch Drift for that, well, pitch drift lol. Thanks in advance.

    Haven’t gone back over the thread but in the original Animoog there’s a great preset called “Los Vangeles’ that is obviously very influenced by that sound, whether it’s super accurate I don’t know but it sounds fantastic in its own right.

    I saw it in the cinema with my father, and we were both blown away by it! Incredible masterpiece.

    I just can’t get myself watching Bladerunner 2. I just can’t. I consider Bladerunner as one of the greatest movies ever made. Like our Dutch pride Rutger Hauer (playing Roy Batty) said about the sequel ‘if something is so beautiful, you should just leave it alone and make another film’.

    It's one of the most faithful sequels I've ever seen. Denis Villeneuve is a brilliant director. Despite the financial hit they took on this one (hey, even the original couldn't find an audience at the time of release) I'm so glad he was able to go on and make his Dune movies.
